Ok, so we've fixed the bugs introduced in version 5.0.67, but the document you have sent us would not have worked any better in Zotero 5.0.66 than it does in the beta. Table citation support in LibreOffice is not entirely complete, especially for fo…

The error message here is "You must insert a citation before performing this operation". Do you have any citations in this document? Note that something is not right with your Word plugin installation. Word hasn't had the Edit Citation button for a …

Another user reported that they fixed this by trying in a new windows account, which implies that it has something to do with your Word settings. You could try creating a new account at least temporarily and whether it works there.
-
Does Vancourver superscript not work in a new document too?
-
@sofoulino @arjan1234 The Zotero Beta now includes a fix for the issue and will soon be released as version 5.0.69.
-
@StarPicard if you are still seeing this please try and see if it works in the Zotero Beta
-
Could you also submit a Report ID from Zotero itself (rather than the connector)? Make sure that you submit it after producing the error at least once since starting the program.
-
Can you provide us with a snippet that is broken after closing and reopening? We can't really fix this until we have a way to reproduce the issue.
-
In the snippet that you have sent us, does it matter where you place the cursor? It always fails? I can't seem to reproduce the error.
-
Is this happening in a completely new document?
-
Could you upload the citation style you are using in this document somewhere (dropbox, google drive, etc.) and post a link here?
-
If you remove everything from this document but the very first page, does it still not work? If it doesn't, could you send that snippet to support@zotero.org? If it does work, could you use step 8 of debugging broken documents instructions and isola…

Ok, then does insertion work in LibreOffice templates? If it does, where does insertion not work?
-
@arjan1234 To start, if you open LibreOffice and create a new document, without selecting any templates, do you see a completely empty page? If you do, does insertion in this page with Zotero 5.0.67 work?
-
Under Trusted Locations in the Trust Center is your Word startup folder listed?
-
Please, if you ever need to share a debug log with Zotero, submit it via the client and only post the Debug ID. For some reason you have a Firefox version of Word plugin installed in Zotero Standalone. Go into Tools -> Add-ins and remove the Wor…

Are you using custom templates? Could you send one of your custom templates to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
@adamsmith Styles being broken is irrelevant in this case. @StarPicard could you please send us a broken template?
-
@arjan1234 are you using custom templates? If so, could you post to this thread and send us over a template that makes things broken? If not, could you start a new thread? Word issues are different from LibreOffice.
-
What citation style are you using? Is only editing broken and you can insert new citations fine with 5.0.67.3?
-
Could you temporarily download Zotero 5.0.66 and check whether you see the problem in that version too?
-
Upgrade to Zotero 5.0.67.3 from Help → "Check for Updates…"

Could you send the broken template to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
If you save the document, then close and reopen it, does it work (for at least one citation)? How about if you restart Zotero? Please test these separately and say whether either help.

Could you submit a Report ID from the connector?

Could you submit a Report ID after receiving the error?
-
@kelman Do you see the error even in a new document? If not, see the debugging broken documents instructions.
-
Do you have a standalone Edit Citation button in there? If so, you should reinstall the plugin from Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors.
-
You would have to give more details for what caused this bug, but take a look at the debugging broken documents page and see if anything there fixes it.
