Reinstalling Zotero is probably a good place to start on your PC. As for references listed twice, the documents store a reference to the Zotero item that you have cited in the document, so if you cited the same item from a different Zotero library…

So I spent some time looking into the code for this and unfortunately there is no scheme you could enter in the current system, even with minor adjustments to the underlying code, to make it work better. Handling proxy-by-port systems would require …

@bmw255 This might be obvious but have you tried restarting Zotero. Otherwise, could you start Zotero, open the terminal (under Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app), paste in ls -a /Users/[YOUR-USERNAME]/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Word/Data/.…

@obrienak could you create create a chunk of text with a citation that produces this error into a new document, check if the error is still present there and if it is send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
Yeah, we will wait for the Chromium Edge to be officially released as it is likely that issues like this one will be fixed on Microsoft's side.
-
You would have to be more specific. Did you run through https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_tab_does_not_appear_in_the_word_ribbon ? Did Word ever display Zotero.dotm under Word Add-ins? What are your Macro se…

Do you have any other extensions installed on Firefox? Have you tried disabling them? Could you try installing the connector on a new Firefox profile and checking whether it works there?
-
Is the Google Docs plugin enabled under Connector Preferences -> Advanced?
-
Sorry, there currently is no good way to check which references are unlinked. We have plans for the future to make them easier to work with, but for now you will have to check whether the entries are correct in the bibliography and reinsert the refe…

Restart Zotero and see if it happens again. If it does, submit a Report ID?
-
Could you submit a Report ID from the Connector?
-
Zotero is not frozen, but probably trying to display the citation dialog (or document preferences). Sometimes the dialog won't properly focus on top of other windows. After pressing Add/edit citation look through Zotero windows to see if a citation …
-
Are you sure? You need to open Finder and press Command-Shift-G, then enter ~/Library/Application Support/LibreOffice/4 into the prompt box.
-
Could you elaborate a bit on the last part? What do you mean by moving the profile folder out of the way? The LibreOffice Profile folder.

Take the existing TandF entry and change the scheme to https://ezproxy-prd.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/login?url=%h/%p. Navigate to another journal that should work with the Oxford proxy. Right click the Zotero connector and navigate into the Reload via Proxy…

I cannot reproduce the behaviour you are describing. Either way, if you can still edit your citations, the issue is probably only cosmetic. If you cannot reproduce this in a new document you could try step 10 of debugging broken documents instructio…

From the way you describe it, this sounds like a Word highlighting issue more than anything else. Either way, could you say which citations specifically in the snippet that you have sent are not highlighted for you?
-
@noorbreuning Restart your browser and Zotero. After clicking any of the Zotero options in Google Docs and getting the "Please wait..." screen check through Zotero windows if a citation dialog popped up. On some OSes minimizing Zotero before working…

Sorry for this bug, we'll have it fixed for the next google docs plugin release. Restart your browser and when try working with the document again. When Zotero prompts you to authenticate, make sure you authenticate with the same account that has ed…

@MavropaliasG @pathwaycommons Please check for the plugin updates, we've pushed another update that should fix the "Zotero fields cannot be inserted here" bug
-
@rubengs sorry about that. We're working on a fix, check this thread for updates or can install the Zotero Firefox Beta Connector to test the potential fix.
-
Can reproduce this in a newly made document? If not, could you send a very cut-down version of a document that displays this problem (no more than a couple of pages) to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
Try restarting Zotero and your browser. When you initiate an action, look through Zotero windows. Generally the citation popup should open on top of all other windows, but that doesn't always happen.
-
@MavropaliasG Can you reproduce this behaviour consistently? If so, could you provide a step-by-step procedure?
-
(Regarding focus, yes it works well on Mac. But one oddity is that if I happen to have clicked into another Word document window while something is going on, it ALWAYS has an error by the time the process finishes, even if I click back immediately. …
-
Can you reproduce this with two freshly new documents? If not, something is already corrupted in your existing document. Try editing the citations that copy problematically in the original document and see if you can do it there.
-
@MavropaliasG, @delinkd Could you test the Zotero Beta Connector on Firefox for the citation editing fix?
-
@AndySymons I have been unable to reproduce the problem with your test document on macOS Mojave, Word 16.29. Can you confirm that you open Zotero and the Word file you send us cold you can reproduce the error? If so, could you produce a Debug ID fro…
-
@djross3 We have looked into doing this multiple times, but actually creating a something that shows progress at least semi-reliably requires a huge amount of work due to variety of technical reasons. @MavropaliasG Yes, it seems that the focus mana…

@MavropaliasG Yes, this is a bug we were initially trying to fix, but ended up breaking something else. Google has made some modifications to the Docs editor recently causing this. We will have a fix out for this soon.
