Moreover, the second problem is that, I started checking some citations to see if the error was there and when clicking on the Add/edit citation I noticed the citation number changed. This means the citations numbers are not all updated according to…

Seems like you're using an enterprise/country specific version of Word, and I cannot find a precise version history of it on Microsoft's pages, but it does seem like there might be a newer version available, so trying to update it could not hurt. O…

Could you submit a Report ID? What happens if you click yes/no in the dialog?
-
Could you describe in full once again what the problem that you're having is, what have you tried in troubleshooting it and what happened for each attempt to fix it?
-
@budish Do you see the jumping in a new document? How severe is it there? How long does it take for things to settle down? If you insert 2 citations one after the other on your existing document, do you see a lot of jumping for the second insert, a…
-
Could you submit a Report ID? Zotero opens a local TCP socket on port 19876 on your machine for talking with LibreOffice so you would have to make sure a firewall isn't blocking that.
-
As per above, it happens when you insert a citation that has non-standard latin characters: any characters with diacritics or non-latin characters. You can check your Word version by right-clicking "Microsoft Word.app" in Applications and selecting …

How long is your document and did this used to happen before? Does the cursor jump back to its original position if you wait for the insertion to finish? What citation style are you using? What is the specific version of Word that you are running?

Could you restart Zotero and Word, attempt to insert a citation in a new document and then submit another Report ID? For the version of Word, you should go into File -> Account in Word and get the full version number.

I have tried restarting my computer for several times. - It didn't work after i copy things in to the document from a edited document and click the 'refresh button' . So just to confirm, have you been able to insert and update Zotero citations in a…

Secondly, I suspect the reference numbers in the bibliography are not the same as the ones in the citations in the text. I checked randomly two citations with the button "add/edit citation" and when I tapped enter the number changed. If you had "aut…

You will see more jumping with note styles than in-text ones, but even with in-text ones it will happen for any inserts that require text with non-standard latin characters.

@tron_ccp We have now pushed a fix for this bug on the Zotero Beta. This shouldn't be necessary, but depending on your configuration you might need to reinstall the LibreOffice plugin from Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors after ru…

@tron_ccp Is your LibreOffice in English or another language? Could you download an English version and try importing with it?

It is not recommended to edit the document in any way while Zotero is updating it as that could potentially lead to citation corruption. Unfortunately citation edits and insertions in Mac Word will sometimes cause cursor jumping, which is unpreventa…

The solution you proposed works for a new Word document, but not in my previous works. You are saying conflicting things, which makes it hard to understand what works and what doesn't, and when it works, and when it does not, and thus give you relev…

If your document is indeed 450 pages long that is bound to cause some slowness. If you're on a macOS, then doubly so. Unfortunately LibreOffice in general is much slower on macOS than on Windows or LibreOffice. Having to wait for an hour for a docum…

You won't be able to update the Zotero citations in your existing documents with LibreOffice, since the citation formats between the two are not compatible. You can transfer documents between LibreOffice and Word, but that requires the Word Zotero i…

The document you sent in is certainly not right, although it updates fine for me with Word 365 2004 (12730.20270). Somehow it has the Zotero plugin embedded in it and added multiple additional Zotero tabs for the ribbon. How did you create this docu…

Reinstalling Zotero or the Word Plugin certainly won't help. You could try updating your Word version, but that is also unlikely to be a remedy. You will have to identify the sections of text that are causing issues in your document yourself, that i…

This isn't a general error, either something with your system configuration or perhaps a corrupt Zotero.dotm file is causing this. Redownload and reinstall Zotero and then reinstall the Word plugin from Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Proce…

What is the full version number of Word that you are running?

I've just tested with your excerpt and didn't have any problems refreshing the document. There was a stray "{Citation}" at the end of the excerpt that needed removing. And while refreshing the dialog came up for a few modified citations, which when …

That is the same error you had in your original report. And so the suggested solution is also the same, unless you see this error in a new document.
-
Do you get this error when you open a document or when you try to interact with Zotero? You can remove the Zotero plugin from Word by removing Zotero.dotm from the Word startup folder. What is the version number reported by Word?

@hajit Did you save this new document in OneDrive? That might cause issues. If not, could you send it to support@zotero.org too?

I'm sorry, but there is no automatic way to fix a broken document. You have to follow step 10 of the debugging instructions. Note that on a 32 page document it only takes 5 steps to cut it down to 1 page. Step 10 is designed to be the fastest way to…

This error can certainly be fixed by the debugging broken documents steps. You either have tracked changes that you have not accepted or there's a corrupt part of the text that can be isolated with step 10.

What happens in a new document? Could you submit a Report ID?
-
You will have to follow the debugging broken documents steps or provide us with more information about your error, e.g. what happens at teach debugging step.
