Does it work if you restart your Mac? Does it work if you force Word to run with Rosetta?

That's an error message from Google Docs. They will limit Zotero if you try to use it too much at once, or need to update too many citations. It seems like they may have become stricter with the limit recently too. There is nothing you can do but wa…

@skaeoman I have already told you what the issue is. One of your styles, most likely a Footnote or Bibliography style has a custom "Next style" property set in LibreOffice. You need to remove that.
-
Switching to an author-date style until you need to submit the document could help. Splitting the document into multiple chapters and editing them separately would to. If you're on a Mac, switching to a Windows computer (or even VM) would help too.

@raffaem This is a Google Chrome bug that is being fixed on their end and should be resolved with a Chrome 91 update as per their bugtracker. In the meantime it can be worked around by using Firefox, Edge or other browsers that support Chrome extens…

Could you describe step-by-step what you are doing, what happens and what you expect to happen instead? Have you tried restarting your computer?
-
There is not a generic problem, it's something on your system, very much likely the Norton security software, so you'll have to start troubleshooting by disabling that.
-
@sartorio We got your email (although you should generally post on the forums for support - email is only for private information), but that Scrivener message does not help to fix this. Ultimately unless you can narrow down the issue to a few lines …

You need to follow the debugging broken documents instructions.

We're working on a fix. If you can we recommend transferring the document to LibreOffice or Word until this is resolved if it is causing you a lot of pain. Otherwise note that only cutting and pasting is affected. If you copy your citations and hit …

Most of the time this wouldn't make sense. Unfortunately your final phases of editing coincide with the copy-pasting bug that is caused by Google Docs, not Zotero, although we're doing everything we can to fix it ASAP.

@raffaem It looks like Google has changed the Docs editor recently which has broken cut-pasting of Zotero citations. We'll look for a workaround but it's indeed broken for now.
-
@raffaem Thanks, the document you sent is helpful, although I am able to insert the Bibliography into it. We'll fix the bug although it's a bit technically complicated. In the meantime you can workaround the bug by adding an empty space symbol at th…

@mschwarze It seems that track changes markup display is slightly buggy in the latest version of Mac Word (16.49) unfortunately. If you chose "Original" in the Review -> Tracking in Word then Zotero shouldn't trigger display of tracked changes, b…

Did you see the debugging broken documents instructions? Have you tried moving the file out of OneDrive or renaming it such that it does not contain space symbols?
-
Have you tried restarting your browser? Do you know what you did in the document before you received the error message? How was the citation inserted?
-
You should start by updating Word to the latest version. After that check if it works in a new document, and then in your existing document.
-
You can use the Zotero Connector for Chrome with Brave. We don't provide support for the bookmarklet anymore as the web's continuous move to improve user security and privacy makes implementing reliable saving via a bookmarklet very difficult.

NTFS is fine, but you need a proprietary non-default driver on Linux, like NTFS-3G, which will allow you to mount a NTFS partition with write permissions. It's not a straightforward thing to set up automatic NTFS-3G mounting, but there's plenty of r…
-
You're probably using an NTFS partition here, which are not writable on most Linux distros when mounted by default. You'll need to make sure that the NTFS partition is writable for Zotero to work.
-
@skaeoman You should certainly update both Zotero and LibreOffice, but this is a bug in LibreOffice that we have known of for a while and LibreOffice has not fixed https://github.com/zotero/zotero-libreoffice-integration/issues/50 Using "Next style…

Can you reproduce this in a new document? Is there anything specific about the formatting of or around the citation? If so, can you share a snippet doc with support@zotero.org where this is reproducible?
-
If you can figure out what steps caused the error and reproduce it from scratch we'll try to fix it.

Go into Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors and reinstall the plugin, then restart Word. You must have downgraded from the Zotero beta which is why this is happening.
