@maelle.vergnaud did changing citation styles fix this for you?
-
@kumarhk There's no progress on this issue. We need to have a way to reliably reproduce the issue in some document to be able to fix it. If you are able to produce a document snippet where you can reproduce it 100% of the time, please send it to sup…

We'll be doing a general refactoring of the citation dialog in the future that should be able to better accommodate this. At the moment that's not possible, so adding the relevant information into the title is probably the most straightforward worka…

@tricia88 The first thing to do if you see something like this is to restart Zotero and your browser and try again. Create a new thread explaining in detail what's the issue and what you've tried so far if it's still happening.

Java is not installed or correctly configured with LibreOffice. See https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#installation_error

Zotero will offer the option to automatically redirect via a proxy on a given website when you manually visit it with one. You shouldn't need to do any manual configuration. If Zotero has already detected a proxy, you can right-click the Zotero Conn…

No, but we will add it in the future

Nope. Thanks for reporting this!

@army-jag341 I checked the code and it seems like there's a bug in the check for whether the plugin is installed. We'll fix that for the next update. Once again, you shouldn't need to worry about this in the near term and Zotero will update the Libr…

Have you restarted Zotero since reinstalling the plugin? Did you do it properly by closing the program (instead of closing with task manager or similar)? If so, if you reinstall the plugin now and restart Zotero, does the installed preference stick?
-
Start Zotero with debug output logging and run it that way for a while. If it's a true freeze likely Zotero will stop logging in the terminal after a while. Copy the logged lines from the terminal, paste them in a text file and send it to support@zo…

It was not uninstalled, you just had an old (possibly very old) version of it in LibreOffice. Normally Zotero will update it in LibreOffice automatically when changes are released, but sometimes that fails. You won't need to do this manually anytime…

Does it help if you go into Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors and reinstall the LibreOffice plugin?
-
Unchecking "automatically update citations" has definitely not caused this. See the link above, that lists all the possible reasons for why citations are not linked.

Could you submit a Report ID from Zotero?

I prefer to use .doc when sharing with Word users, since I have the impression that overall LO-Word compatibility is better with .doc than .docx. (That impression may be outdated.) I don't think there is much reason to believe this when using recent…
-
I believe both .doc and .docx should work, but that might depend on versions of LibreOffice and Word so you should check. .docx is preferred. The primary citation storage type is Fields on Word and Reference Marks on LibreOffice. These are not cross…

@Chris_the_sailor @nerimarsili @nathan.townsend @slchapelle @adamsmith This has been addressed in the Zotero Beta Connector and will soon be available on the release version too. Thanks for the report.
-
Sorry, editing with track changes enabled is not supported. It works better with Word, but we don't recommend it with any of the word processors as it is likely to cause issues such as you describe and we don't have a robust way to prevent them.

Zotero is a 32-bit application on Windows, but just like every other 32-bit application it is compatible with 64-bit Windows.
-
@Jadepct what version of Word are you running?
-
@Sny17 Oh no, sorry. That's actually a pre-release version number for Word 2013. You need to update Word to a current version first.
-
If there a lot of other non-Zotero fields in the document that's likely the culprit. Unfortunately Zotero integration on Mac Word is quite slow and we don't have a way to improve it. Big documents and many citations/fields degrade performance quite …

Could you submit a Report ID? Have you followed the troubleshooting instructions? What happened at each step?
-
Are you able to upgrade to a 64-bit client? The version of Word you are running has been released on June 8th and could very likely be the culprit.
-
It's certainly not a global problem and Zotero is working fine with Google docs for people. The 403 HTTP error is known as an authorization error. Google decides to return it for your Google Docs requests, but doesn't include more information, so it…

Zotero only processes your document when you use one of the Zotero functions, so no, there is no way for citations to be updated if you manually remove one and another needs to get updated as a result. While writing/editing it's not important for ci…

What's the full version number of Word that you are running?
