@JMitchellKing and @jkuo11 -- the error parsing markers in multiple footnotes in .docx should be fixed in 3.2.1, just released. Let me know if that doesn't fix things for you
-
No, neither CSL nor Zotero offers hyperlinking as an option. My view (from the CSL perspective) is that this would be something for Zotero (and other reference managers) to add as a feature (like a "hyperlink titles with URLs" checkbox or something …
-
Check if those items have the same DOI, that could cause that. Beyond that, this is frequently requested and I understand it's planned, for now you can do it using the Zoplicate plugin
-
It's about the snapshot -- it's incomplete: the page has 2 tables on a figure and those don't make it to the snapshot (they are 3rd party iFrames from datawrapper and flourish respectively)
-
That means exactly what it says -- Zotero should highlight the item in question, otherwise search for the first couple of words of the creator and remove or shorten that name.

see sebastiankarcher.com

This is Zotero. You want to check the browser connector in your browser
-
Check if the Short Title field is filled in Zotero for that book. It's populated automatically with most import methods, but not, e.g., if you're manually adding an item (and the title isn't shortened automatically using some sort of rule for citati…

You'd have to say more, it's unclear what part of the issue isn't explained by the message -- I assume there's a very lengthy association name as the final "author" of that item (click on more) that you'd need to delete, then it will sync.
-
Two things: 1. The WPS plugin is provided by WPS, not Zotero 2. Zotero's own plugins don't support hyperlinking citations and bibliography in documents either, though you can find some scripting solutions here in the forums.
-
9.0.4 is the current release: https://www.zotero.org/support/changelog I don't think the Zotero team is 100% consistent tagging versions on gh

I'm not seeing the 'unreadable content' error and I'm guessing it's related to something that Scrivener does when compiling .docx files, so I'd need a file in which that happens (pre and post scan), ideally as minimal a file as possible to reproduce…

That's correct Chicago style for references with same first but different second author (CMOS 18, 13.123 if you want to look at the source)
-
You're afding strip-periods="true" when you call the author macro, which does exactly what its name suggests
-
Certainly not a setting, but also not a general issue. Could you provide precise steps to reproduce, including which word processor, citation style, and anything else potentially relevant.
-
That would just be the group -- you can use the group's feed to populate the page, it doesn't have to be your personal one. Obviously you'd need to trust any collaborators on the group since any changes go live immediately, but it sounds like that'…

It sounds like you may be trying to use Zotero for something it's not meant to do? I wouldn't expect Zotero to be able to do anything with a version of a chapter downloaded from Scholastica. Can you take step back and explain what you would like Zo…
-
Which Zotero version exactly? And does this also happen with one of the official styles that uses initialize-with, e.g. IEEE? If it _doesn't_, we'd want to see the whole style (post to pastebin.com or a similar code-sharing site and share the link h…
-
the whole point of the shortened notes style is that it doesn't include the long form in the first note (it assumes the presence of a bibliography. If you want that, use the note style (which will still shorten subsequent notes as all Chicago styles…
-
I don't quite follow the description here. Let's start with issue 1: Which citation style are you using? And if you insert a bibliography, does that go from 1-120? Also, how are you 'verifying' citations: I don't understand how the document changes…

I think most people disagree with that for their purposes (e.g. ZotMoov, like Zotero, let's you specify file naming rules), but if that's what you want, the answers from tim and my initial posts stand as the best options.
-
Right, but ZotMoov will let you do that automatically. It's the individual prompt that no one wants.
-
These are labelled as journal articles in the metadata by CERN. Someone could build a custom importer just for CERN, but generally it's preferable to rely on more generic options with wider applicability, so I don't think that's super high priority.…
-
You can generate linked files automatically using plugins like ZotMoov, but they don't prompt for the location and I'm pretty sure no one is going to implement that (Zotero itself definitely won't). If you want full control, you can disable file dow…
-
I understand. I just don't have a fix.
-
But if you do want regular Chicago style, no I don't think it can be turned off, I'm afraid
-
I don't quite understand the question as asked. Obviously people cannot add or edit items in your personal Zotero library because they're in a Zotero group with you. They _can_ add/edit items in the Zotero group (assuming the right permissions), in…

You'd want to contact pubpeer for that, they maintain the plugin

Make a copy of the document and test there.
