I'm guessing the reason some of the code is converting the named entities is for the rare cases where publishers have "over-double-escaped" say an ampersand and so you're double decoding them on the assumption that no title intentionally is going to…

I'm a bit confused by what you're looking for, but Editor -- contains -- [leave the field empty] gives you a list of all items with editors.
-
Sorry, yes, I missed that. No, not coming back, see dstillman above -- that space just doesn't exist in Zotero anymore (as it doesn't in most other apps on Windows)
-
That's a setting in the General tab of the Zotero preferences (Screenshot from Zotero 8 beta, but I don't think that has changed) https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u2433/affa2h2v7z4fa8qvs0jy.png

Cycling back to the initial issue of this discussion, what are your thoughts on handling HTML-like tags in abstracts? There's actually two questions: 1. How should Zotero handle whitespace in CrossRef abstracts? CrossRef didn't use to have very m…

Delete the originating item in My Library, empty the trash, then move the item X to My Library.
-
Link fixed. Crossref recommends against using the xsl you link to. There's going to be some overlap, but the crucial part is that CrossRef never sees the JATS file and you can't just assume how UNIXREF is going to look based on JATS bc you don't kno…

You can post code you want to link to to github and link here, yes (you can also put short snippets into HTML tags, but please don't use that for more than ~25 lines). I think you're misunderstanding some things, both about Zotero and about how pu…

You can turn off file syncing in the sync tab of the Zotero preferences (that's not quite what you're asking, but it'll get rid of the error and prevent it from coming up again in the future, which seems like the relevant bit here).
-
As long as you can log into an account here, you can just look it up in the settings, yes: https://www.zotero.org/settings/email

Nothing if you want to use Zotero WebDAV sync. The whole point of this is to have Zotero manage your files, which includes folders with unique alphanumeric strings to guarantee the absence of any filenaming or sync conflicts.
-
Could you give a couple of examples of trying to open files that don't open, providing both the file that Zotero displays ("Die angehängte Datei konnte im folgenden Pfad nicht gefunden werden:") and where the file actually can be found? It sounds …

You can save powerpoints, it's just two steps: download them to your hard drive, then drag them to Zotero. I don't think Zotero will let you annotate MS Office docs of any kind any time in the near future, though; I'd be surprised if they added a …

OK, thanks, that's helpful. 1) Yes 2) They Library Catalog field contains, in most cases, the source of the metadata 3) Depends on how you import: when you add items by dragging the PDF to Zotero or by using the DOI in the magic wand field, the meta…

Cloudfare would be the only people who could definitely confirm this, but almost certainly, yes.
-
I'm not seeing that. How exactly are you generating the bibliography? And you've checked how the DOI is entered in Zotero (FWIW, those old DOIs with colons, square brackets, and what have you have some odd properties that make them behave poorly wit…

There is no current problem other than your IP (and maybe account?) being blocked. None of your analysis of the browser console is relevant. You also misunderstand the technical set up of the web library (it does use API keys in GET calls, e.g.), w…

I'm very confused by this post -- do you/did you not see dstillman's messages above? They tell you exactly what's happening, why, and what to do to get your account back working.
-
I responded to you yesterday -- please continue in thread https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/127033/export-library#latest
-
Not easily, no. What would you want to do with the online library once exported? It'd seem to be pretty useless without actual access to Zotero.
-
But also from right above your post We plan to add an option to just show filenames instead of attachment titles in the items list for people who really prefer that for some reason
-
The other buttons on the "SideNav" bar should toggle between Show/Hide of the all the other elements that are shown on the "SideNav" bar. I think that just misunderstands how the info pane works -- it's a scrolling pane, items are only ever scrolled…

The current behavior is correct APA style.
-
No, you definitely don't need a new group. Make sure that you successfully sync the group after those changes (e.g., create an item online and make sure it appears locally)
-
It's either or -- you can access linked PDF attachments via Google Drive (or other 3rd party sync services) or use the Zotero mobile app to access and annotate PDFs. If you want access to the files from the mobile app, you need to sync them with eit…

Endnote doesn't export collections into any open format, so I don't think there's anything Zotero can do about that.
-
I don't know the answer for the first question for sure -- you can obviously see the list of lab members (since you can add & delete them) but I don't think there's an export button. (If you mean institutional and not lab subscription the answer…

You can only track who added items (hat's visible in the web library), not who modified them.

You can't switch back, no. You can just click on the note icon on the right, no need to scroll through the various sections. You can also right-click on "Notes" and pin that section to the top so it's always the first thing you see.
