Really? I added these afterwards, they weren't there before, and it made no difference, but I will try again and let you know. Can you explain how Word will capitalise anything? I thought this was all part of Zotero's formatting, if Word is playing…

Leaving out the colon after "Vgl" does not change anything, still capitalised.
-
I have no idea how to do this.
-
I think the problem has to do with the colon preceding the term. The citation should read: Vgl. ebenda. I have set it to How can the colon be ignored? The text-case is currently set to "sentence", but it wasn't working either when it was set to th…

I find three instances of "capitalize-first", two in the Macro "volume-for-books" and one in the macro "pages". None of these should have anything to do with the ibid term, as far as I can see. And this is true for both styles I checked, one of whi…

I will search. To try this it is necessary to download the style anyway, as far as I can see, since there is no way to include prefixes in the example citations.

Just for the record, for me the following worked: - Quit Safari - Trash the Zotero beta (I kept the standard version) - Download latest beta - Install beta, but keeping both versions (beta is then named Zotero 2) - Open beta, close again - Open Saf…

I have no experience at all with LibreOffice, so I cannot comment on that. To do this in Word is possible, it works, but it certainly isn't for the faint-hearted. On the other hand I find that using subdocuments is really the only way to work with Z…

Anything I have entered in the field of the item dialog, locator, prefix, suffix fields will be lost if I change the item (book, article) itself in the new (red) item dialog. By using the classic dialog these entries can be retained when the item i…

I thought I was always running as admin, no? I am on a Mac. I also thought that having to enter an admin password for deleting anything from the library folder is normal, no? I certainly didn't log out or in between installing Word or Zotero, I am …

No problems. I may have had to enter my admin password for deleting the Zotero.dotm file, but certainly not for installing it. I have both the beta and the full version of Zotero installed, see first post. Both are in the applications folder.

Yes, it does. In that case I don't know why I couldn't install the Word plugin from Zotero. Only manually copying the file worked for me. Now Zotero works fine.
-
I don't actually use the bibliography (instead I assemble them in a Zotero library and then paste them into the document, since I need to make several parts (sources and literature and music scores). However, I will unlink the citations, it feels b…

I think I have solved it myself, by copying the Zotero.dotm to the correct location. I have a feeling that the problem is the German language version of Word, where the correct location is: ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Benutzerinhal…

Now that I have installed the beta of the connector, can I go back to the Zotero release version, or will that not work?
-
I cannot find a beta of just the connector, so I guess I will have to install the Zotero app beta to get the connector? Or is there going to be a separate version?
-
? Hastebin gives me an empty page in Safari, no idea what it is. Anway, I was hoping there is a setting which I missed, if there isn't it isn't that important. The style works fine otherwise.
-
I am using my own style, which lists the bibliographic entries like this: Köpp 2016 – Kai Köpp: Das Reproduktionsklavier: Zwischen Musikinstrument und Medium, in: Spiel (mit) der Maschine. Musikalische Medienpraxis in der Frühzeit von Phonografie, …

The system is set to German as first preferred language. English is the second choice. Again, this didn't happen in Sierra, before I updated to Mojave. It is obviously not a big problem, since setting the language manually works well, but it should…

The strange thing is, if the quotes are not at the start of the short title field it works fine, including the final quote.
-
For the current purpose typographic quotes will work just fine. For the future this should be corrected, I guess.
-
That's an ingenious solution, and I was able to include that easily into the current sorting macro. Thanks!!
-
Yes, the link back is done in the style. I have just done some testing, and it seems to work well that way.
-
You mean the ones in Word directly? That works by using the central-/sub-document feature in Word. The Zotero update is done while working on individual files, but you can work on the complete thing just as though it was a large file when the centra…

In that case I think my solution is in fact a much better one: I will use the master/sub-documents in Word to separate the chapters (yes, I have done that before, it is not without problems, but I think I can master this). I will get Word to resta…

Here is a work around for the capitalisation: I can add a zero-width-space after the period, and Zotero will not capitalise. Perhaps one for the tipps and tricks? BTW I looked at past discussions of this and it seems that the opinion by users is o…

Your example could easily be done by taking the sentence out of the field, though. Whenever there is some logic that tries to "guess" content, the automatism will eventuell get in the way. Unless there is a way to "know", Zotero should not make su…

That would probably result in a lowercase ibid even at the beginning of the footnote, no? That would definitely not be the solution. Why is this capitalisation done in the first place? I cannot think of many situations where this would be needed.

The style is mine, I need it for the Beethoven Studien. If I take the closing bracket out the period will come before the bracket, that's no better. Is there a way to stop it from capitalising after a period? It seems to decide itself what is an a…
