Thank you. LibreOffice does properly style the footnotes the whole way through. But, for my situation, I probably need to stay with Word. Initially, I was inclined to think it was simply a Word quirk. But, the complex script font handling in non-Zo…

I also had the thought to try reinstalling the Word plugin. But, on doing so, the same behavior persists. Thank you, again, for any suggestions you might have.

I believe I've successfully installed and configured phpZoteroWebDav under my domain. Zotero has verified its ability to connect to the service. It has started to sync (two zip archives have been uploaded to the /zotero/ storage directory on the ser…

Sorry, yes, this second comment sounds exactly right. I should have filled in more of the background. As I understand it, *=citation only works with format=json or format=atom, correct? In that case, I was thinking to use format=atom in order to pa…

Thank you gentlemen so much. This is all most helpful. So as not to reinvent the wheel needlessly, does the API already have a way of cleaning up (say) the atom display to show only the formatted footnote text? (My apologies ahead of time if this i…

Thank you. The "subscribe to feed" suggestion is most helpful. Though, I should have seen that the key wasn't being submitted properly. My apologies for that. At the risk of asking another silly question: Is it possible to use the API to call for t…

Is there a way individual users can set an API key to allow display of items directly from their libraries or in specific collections? (i.e., but not public group collections) The idea would be that the information would be viewable by anyone who ha…

Okay. That's fabulous. I just edited the ID field to a fictitious URL and adjusted the title to something that would make sense to allow the 1st and 2nd ed styles to sit side by side. Thanks, again, so much!

I'm pretty sure I tried just restarting and wasn't able to get things working again. But, I might've only restarted Word or Zotero and not the other one, which was actually the offending party in the scenario. If it happens again, I'll try to rememb…

Sounds great. Thank you so much!

Very strange. Just today, I've started getting this same error as it looks like chrissampson2 posted Aug 15, 2014. However, if I do the following, I seem to be able to get the citation edits to happen properly: 1) Close Word 2013 and Zotero Standal…

Fabulous. Thank you. Yes, I had looked for this elsewhere in the documentation before I inquired. So, having it added now is most helpful. Thank you, again.

What are the proper about:config lines to modify in order to adjust "the number and time interval" used for generating the .sqlite.bak files? Thank you so much!

Thank you, again.

In paging through a sample essay, it looks like I'm only seeing the additional spacing creep up after ( and [. So, at least as I'm accustomed to working, the fuller list of characters you've suggested should do the trick in these cases and catch sti…

Adamsmith, thanks for the advance tip on using the language field to specify titles that are in other languages and shouldn't be capitalized according to standard English conventions. Much appreciated.
-
Understood. Thanks for the clarification.

+1 on this feature request too.

Thanks so much for the help.

Okay. Yes, that did remedy the problem. Sorry—I had thought styles got updated automatically with the rest of the software, but I'll know to check that next time something similar comes up. :-)
-
Thanks, adamsmith and Simon. It looks like this bug should have been resolved again in LibreOffice 3.5.1 (RC1 change log), but it still reappears when experimental features are enabled, even in in LibreOffice 3.5.1.

Update on my reply to Simon and cokelly72 from 3/1: I just installed LibreOffice 3.5.0, the current Zotero firefox addon, and the current LibreOffice plugin on an Ubuntu Natty virtual machine. There, the output for the footnotes comes through normal…

Heh. I had suspected those comments were inessential but hadn't noticed the Chinese notation. ;-) Thanks, again.

Okay, yes, adamsmith. That does it perfectly. Though, when I'd tried this earlier, I'd assumed that "[Desktop Entry]" was an unessential comment. Having added this line to the file, everything works great. Thanks so much, folks.

saulalbert, What you're describing is exactly what I'm trying to achieve also. I've got PDFXchange installed and set up as the system default (open as . . . . other). I'm also okay with editing defaults.list, but still being rather new to Linux (Ub…

adamsmith, This does work much better now. Thanks so much. Concerning the example, the codex mentioned is actually a numbered volume (i.e., 10) within a series (the New Interpreter's Bible). This codex, however, does have the special quirk of cont…

felwert and cokelly72, Regarding the java.lang (etc.) error that your seeing, have you tried: (1) checking Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Java to see whether "Use a Java runtime environment" is checked and (2) reinstalling the Zotero Libr…

Not a problem. Yes, SBL formatting is rather complex (the need for an abbreviated series title in footnotes but the full series title in the bibliography is another example), but as you note, even if it isn't completely supportable at this moment, t…
