It also looks like the issue is specific to APA7 which I need, other styles seem to be applied correctly.

Thanks, but that doesn't solve my issue. I am not talking about generating reference list at the end of the paper, but about the in text citations that in APA7 should only produce name of the first author, et al. year and a,b,c. This is a specific …
