APA7 citation issues
hello, the previous Zotero version didn't have this issue. I've started a new paper and APA7 is selected but not followed for articles by the same author from the same year. Instead of adding a,b,c etc, the software is adding a second author instead.
SO Instead of adding (Jones et al., 2019a) (Jones et al., 2019b) etc
it adds (Jones and Smith et al.,2019) (Jones and Murphy et al., 2019).
Completely wrong. Can that be fixed please? Requires so much manual adjustment!

I am not talking about generating reference list at the end of the paper, but about the in text citations that in APA7 should only produce name of the first author, et al. year and a,b,c.
This is a specific case when the same main author has multiple articles published in the same year.
This is the guidance from APA: https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/citations/basic-principles/same-year-author
Moreover, this used to work well, so this is a new issue that I didn't experience in previous trimester. See the in text citation Zotero created for me in my second screenshot. That is incorrect, it is mixing "et al" with with citation style for 2 authors (there are 4 authors). It is a mess, tbh.
The data for the article looks fine in Zotero, and it is doing that with another paper as well. So it is not specific paper issue.
