Just tried and it's lightning-fast now! Thanks!

I don't see a difference in a brand new document; both open the dialog very quickly. It's pronounced, though, in large documents with lots of footnotes. Here's a screen recording for a large document: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0uek07h3cg6ls…

Circling back to this in case it got lost in the shuffle. Let me know if I didn't do the logging correctly!

Zotero 7: D1793901985 Zotero 6: D463283065 These were each adding the same source, at the same place in a large document.

That makes sense!
-
Oh, I see, I thought it was one and the same. The PDF is renamed in Finder but not Zotero itself.
-
Any reason why that functionality wouldn't be working for me, then? On multiple machines, after importing an article from HeinOnline through the Connector (using Microsoft Edge on Mac) the file is just named "Full Text PDF."
-
That worked!

All subsequent citations in this format (not "id." though), only the ones that have the callback to a prior footnote. Journal articles and books.

My university’s library got the issue with the proxy server fixed, and this functionality is restored! Thanks for your help!

Flagging this one last time...

Here you go (this covers an attempt in both JSTOR and Hein): D682847532

Anyone have any updates on this one? The translators just don't work to snag PDFs on either Hein or JSTOR when I'm connected using a proxy. These used to work great.
-
Got it, thank you! What are the rules about what's allowed to be hosted on the Zotero repository? Is there only one version of each style permitted? Thanks!
-
Just flagging that this is happening to me on multiple computers, so it's not just something wrong with one particular computer.
-
Sorry for not responding sooner. Here's the debug ID: D2013798696

Any updates on this issue? It's happening to me as well, not sure if this is the same issue but I only experiencing it when I'm at home and logging into Hein through my library's proxy (not when I'm on campus and the proxy is unnecessary).

Hmm, better than nothing but not perfect because you need “at” too. And I couldn’t add that at the end of the title because then it would render in small caps. It's not a huge problem and can always be fixed in editing later.

Juris-M relied on a custom plugin called the "Abbreviations Filter." I'm not sure whether the Abbreviations Filter was responsible for the "hereinafter" behavior or not. Is there any string of code that could theoretically be written check whether t…

Done.

I am getting the same error today too. So far it's only in older documents with Zotero cites; starting a new document doesn't create the error.

I've been having some more Zotfile issues of late, but I'm not sure whether it's an MLZ problem or not. The issues: (1) For the last few weeks, I haven't been able to use the batch commands on files in my library. If I select multiple files, and …

Seems to be working well now. Thanks!

Joscha, thanks. I reinstalled the latest but no change. Here's another error message I just got: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [mozIStorageConnection.createStatement]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERRO…

Hi, I'm running ZotFile 3.3 with MLZ on my Mac. It was working great for a while, but today I can't use the contextual menus to manage attachments at all. They say "warning" in multiple places, and none of the commands work (for example, I've bee…

Select all and pasting into a new word processor doesn't fix the problem. The first problem shows up for me consistently, whenever I enter a case cite with a pincite page and the case was previously cited but more than five footnotes ago. I think t…
