I would still love this :)

I have just seen that - amazing work!

Following on from my comment https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/94128/zotfile-no-option-to-extract-annotations, it would be amazing to have some more variables. https://www.zotero.org/support/note_templates says that there are {{highlight}}, {{ci…

I absolutely love the way the new editor works, and we'll use this for light-weight literature reviews. Esp. the collab nature is amazing. We've also wrapped our extracted notes using zotfile. Currently, the exported note has this: TEXT ([Author, …

Thanks! Exporters can only be installed manually, right? Unlike the style repository? Or could we contribute the exporter to a set of exporters? Sorry, I forgot how that works :)

No ideas on this anyone?

Thank you!

There's a similar issue with notes. It's possible to paste html text to notes but when copying from a note to Chrome, the text is corrupted in the same way as above.

This may not help you much, but one of the things I do is to attach links to zotero items. For example, some of our items have got specific collections attached to them (such as a collection of citing items and a collection of cited items). To not l…

Thank you!

That's really great! It still relies on having realised what I did. Sometimes I go through collections removing items from that collection, but have accidentally deleted them. (This is because I might be removing attachments with shift-delete at th…

Ah really? I was mainly thinking of the "shift-delete" and "delete". On linux it would also be good to have the option of modifier keys, but again, maybe the framework forces that choice of modifiers.

Hi @danstillman Would the proposal by @leonardof be a welcome change? If not, would it be possible to building something into Zotero that exposes the functionality say via advanced settings? I.e., an advanced setting that has "permanent-delete-d…

@adamsmith and @dstillman, is there any chance of getting more fine-grained permissions server-side? I imagine it's out of the question? This would be good: "A group setting where you can add new items and edit & delete your own items but not o…

Ah yes! So our workflow yesterday was: (1) Add attachment to Zotero item (2) Wait for it to upload. (3) Sync another Zotero (different user) (4) Result: File not available. (Neither for the other user, not API). We tried this several times (over a…

Yes, sorry - one file was for downloading, the other for uploading. Basically, a colleague and I added a file attachment to an item, but only the attachment metadata came through, the file itself never became available (i.e., the 'doesn't exist'), d…

For the file failing to upload, I see this in the logs: ``` (3)(+0000001): Initializing download request 4/I5IDVHIQ (3)(+0000000): Starting download request 4/I5IDVHIQ (3)(+0000000): Saving https://api.zotero.org/groups/2405685/items/I5IDVHIQ/file (…

@leonardof - yeah, that's a really good idea!
-
Many thanks - that's good to know!
-
@qqbb - that's is very helpful! I'll explore! (I've used https://github.com/coherentgraphics/cpdf-binaries for quite a while, and find it really helpful. I didn't know the other tools, but will obviously look.)
-
Thank you!

Thanks @adamsmith. I agree that the benefits are minor. We've added an xmp export to https://github.com/OpenDevEd/zotero-lib, and will use cpdf to to add metadata. Thanks!

Thanks for feedback. " An upcoming version of Zotero will let you configure how long to save downloaded files locally to save space." That's very helpful - a few of our users are struggling with disk space needed for larger libraries.

Thanks for comment @qqbb. I made those changes to our code, see here: https://github.com/edtechhub/zotero-edtechhub

Hi all, I've now re-added another library, which has 20,000 items. The sql storage is now 600MB, and there's now a significiant lag. Not as bad as before, but operations that were pretty quick before, now take ~1-2 seconds (without sync). When a s…

Thank you!!

OK, yeah - that makes sense!

Yeah - agreed. I guess this is hard to do via plugin? What would be needed to implement that?

Thank you, that's helpful!!
