Amazing, thank you. Would this be expected in the nearish future (say in 2022) or is this more of a long-term plan?

Yes - the UI proposal looks good to me! It was written ~ 7 years ago, with the PDF reader being very recent. However, obviously, you could adapt the proposal as you suggest. I.e., when a file is selected in the middle pane, the right pane header sh…

@qqbb That's helpful, many thanks!!

I agree that it's the same as google docs, but it's not the same as other things in Zotero. :) Anybody [with edit rights] can can edit notes, anybody can edit item metadata. I was surprised that annotations are different. What would be wrong with …

Fixed in 6.0.5-beta.2+c510d9146.

@adamsmith - many thanks!

Amazing - thank you!

We have a system incorporating kerko and crossref to do that. It uses Zorro item keys, but it's different from the zotero based citation system. If anybody wants to see it, I'm be happy to give a demo (boys meet/zoom).

@j.cossio - There was a question elsewhere on the forum on the Android app. Zotero currently has a job ad out for a developer.

Well done on the release!

I am not sure how I missed that — my excuse is that I swear that the button didn't visually latch maybe in an early beta. But I'm probably wrong about that. However, yes, I stand corrected, and the PDF reader does work like that: kudos to the Zote…

Thanks! I would be amazing to be able to be able to switch between the annotation tools. One thing I really like about Adobe Reader is that that the highlight function can be 'latched'. Once it's latched, you can just continue highlighting sectio…

+1 I would really love it if Zotero could address those accessibility features.

Hi @ryanwwest. I'm very interested in retrieval of notes too, specifically for further analysis (rather than MD). I'm thinking of importing annotations from several attachments into a single document (e.g. a Google Doc), or potentially something lik…

+1 It would be really good to have this - it's also an accessibility issue.

Hello all! Just indicating ongoing interest in this feature!
-
AHA! Thank you!!

I started Zotero, used both ctrl-c and copy from the menu (on an annotation). Debug id: D2078866669. Thank you!

Hi both, thank you for comments. Just to show what I am trying to do: https://youtu.be/Qpx4szHwBxI

Would still love to have this feature!
-
@dstillman - thank you for the response! I'm on 6.0-beta.5+8b7afcf24. On the left panel, in the PDF editor, when I right-click on a note (or use the overflow), I get 'add to note', colours, 'edit page number', 'edit highlighted text', 'delete'. Sho…

I would still love this :)

I have just seen that - amazing work!

Following on from my comment https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/94128/zotfile-no-option-to-extract-annotations, it would be amazing to have some more variables. https://www.zotero.org/support/note_templates says that there are {{highlight}}, {{ci…

I absolutely love the way the new editor works, and we'll use this for light-weight literature reviews. Esp. the collab nature is amazing. We've also wrapped our extracted notes using zotfile. Currently, the exported note has this: TEXT ([Author, …

Thanks! Exporters can only be installed manually, right? Unlike the style repository? Or could we contribute the exporter to a set of exporters? Sorry, I forgot how that works :)

No ideas on this anyone?

Thank you!
