Would like each new section in my document to start over with full titles until they're repeated within that section. So, for example, if the same title is used 2x in chapter 1 (section 1) and 2x in chapter 2 (section 2) of my document, the second t…

Has anyone gotten this to work? My editor wants the whole book in one document, so that means all my references in subsequent chapters will be short titles even if in that particular chapter it's the first reference to that work. Please advise on a …

Did you ever get this to work? I'm putting new sections for each new chapter in my book, and I need to make sure each new chapter starts over again with the full title.

Thank you.

Thank you for your help. Looks like I'll just have to deal with it. :) Do I need to know anything about how Zotero integrates with MS Word? I noticed on the Firefox add ons that it had Zotero integration was "legacy" mode. That makes me think it's …

Yes, that is correct. Now it only shows me a "save to zotero (embedded metadata)" icon. It doesn't have a Z so that I can see my library in the web interface. Has this gone, or am I missing something on how to get it back?

Thanks dstillman, but this still doesn't help me. I do research using databases on the web. I click on "Z" and then it prompts me to select which articles/essays that are on the screen to save to my library. I click on them, and they automatically d…

And I've read the "unified zotero experience" page already. It did not help me either. I would appreciate an explanation and detailed instructions how I can use zotero with my web interface to get bibliographical details into my library from searche…

I already do have Zotero Standalone, but this does not help me. I have to have Zotero in the web browser so that when I do research using web database, I can drop the bibliographic details in my Zotero library by clicking the "Z" icon.

Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. Thanks adamsmith. It's now done. One final question: how do I keep the author-date style and the author-date (library list) file? It asked me if I wanted to update the style, when actually I wanted to add the ne…

Thanks so much adamsmith for your speedy reply. Sorry for being daft, but I don't understand how to do this: "Download the style you want to edit to your computer, and open it in a (plain) text editor like Notepad on Windows, TextEdit on Mac OS…

Thanks, erazlogo. I'm a latecomer to this but wondered if there is something that would put it in chicago library list but with author date format? If so, that would be swell...I too am illiterate when it comes to programming.

Thanks for this. Very helpful! I would like journal abbreviations both in the footnotes and in the bibliography, if possible. Also, any tips on adding a 'series abbr' field, so that I can use abbreviated series titles (i.e. for book series) in …

Thanks. Here is the link to the public gist: https://gist.github.com/925593

Thanks for this helpful post. I've followed these steps to the letter, but unfortunately the journal title continues to be the full one instead of the abbreviated one (to be sure, I've included the abbreviation of the journal in the "journal abbr" f…

Thanks biblio. So does your request for Zotero include creating an option for converting simple dashes into en dashes between page numbers/years within the Zotero interface? In other words, it would be complicated to do this within MSWord, for insta…
