thanks @adomasven pointing me to the short cut creation in Word and thanks @dstillman for pointing me toward `ZoteroAddEditCitation` because using the shortcut for that command has solved the issue. Previously, I been using `ZoteroEditCitation` but…

@dstillman FYI: Just experienced a random deletion with a non-embedded attachment note I sent an error report with the number 1786862684
-
@dstillman Thanks so much: avoiding embedded attachment notes is easy enough, and so far as avoided the problem Looking forward to the new note editor.

Same problem here, persisting over a year and later with Zotero 5.0.96.1. Is there no fix? The symptoms are the same. As I am typing a note, seemingly randomly the recent few lines of text are just randomly deleted. It's extremely frustrating. I…

Same problem here. As I am typing a note, seemingly randomly the recent few lines of text are just randomly deleted. It's extremely frustrating. I did not have debugging enabled (oops), but I just reported the Error with Report# 1724768459. I have…

Thanks @dstillman -- will do this the next time it happens.

Hello everyone, just re-raising this issue from a year ago, which has persisted. I'm running Zotero 5.0.87 on macOS 10.14.6 Hotkeys like Cmd+i and Cmd+b while writing notes will still randomly crash Zotero serve up the same message: 'An error has …

It just crashed again, this time with Cmd+I to make italic text. @bwiernik I enabled a debugging output and it cashed just now. The Debug ID is D1115675353. @dstillman I am convinced these hotkeys crash Zotero. It does not happen every single tim…

Hello again Just writing to let you know on Zotero (5.0.55.1) using Word 2011 for Mac (14.7.1), Zotero citations still serve up an unwanted line break in my footnotes on the first page of a document when Zotero automatically updates the citations.…
-
Also in case you need to know as well... Language: English (US) Display Citations As: Footnotes Store Citations as: Fields Automatically update citations: checked Finally, just in case this complicates things, I am using Mac OS X Turkish QWERTY…

Thanks to both of you. As @adamsmith suggested I tried putting tr-TR into the "Language" field and it seems to work. @fbennett I was (and still am) using Chicago (full note)
-
This issue also emerged in the third footnote of a different document. Still on page 1, but footnote no. 3. The Zotero-generated footnote contains no prefixes or suffixes, nor any of my own edits directly in Word -- just citations for four differe…

I have noticed this problem in multiple documents. I have made a copy and tried to refresh the citations. The lines have disappeared for the time being. I'll let you know if anything happens...

In the hour since writing my last comment, Zotero periodically updated the citations in the Word document I had looked at. Now the first footnote contains unwanted line breaks. It is only the very first footnote where these line breaks occur. This p…

Sure thing. When I say the first item, I mean the text of the first footnote of the entire Word document, which itself is a footnote composed entirely of a Zotero-generated citation . I can remember these unwanted line breaks occurring when only on…
-
I see. I have not noticed a pattern. Any item seems to be causing the issue as long as it is the first.
-
Thanks @adomasven and apologies for a sluggish reply. Word 2011 for Mac version 14.7.1 In my experience, only the very first item has the unwanted line breaks. Others appear normally.
-
Hey @adamsmith the line break issue has re-emerged, although I cannot figure out why. As you advised, I double checked by going into draft view and checking to make sure there were no line breaks. No change. I also tried highlighting the footnot…

Hello again, Just writing to let you know I am noticing a pattern with this error message. When I copy some citation, let's say "Citation X" from Word Doc A to Word Doc B, Word Doc B starts serving the error message: "this.registry.citationreg.ci…
-
Uh oh. No longer working like a charm! A new error has appeared: this.registry.citationreg.citationById[c[0]] is undefined I followed step 8 of debugging seem to have found the problem area. I emailed the problem area to support@zotero.org
-
Works like a charm. Many thanks!
-
Thanks @adamsmith. The issue is inexplicably gone. I have tested a Word footnote between two Zotero-created ones, just to be safe, and no random spaces appeared. If it crops up again, I'll respond to this thread.
-
Thanks, @bwiernik. And sorry for a sluggish reply. I tried what you suggested, but found that there were no blank lines in the "Footnote continuation separator" or the "Footnote separator" If you're sure it's nothing in Zotero, I'll focus more o…

Thanks to both of you! @adamsmith -- yes! I mean far right column @dstillman -- I'll play with the syncing and auto-sync and see if it changes matters.
