In my library, the title appears as -- "Why isn't everyone a \Bayesian}? With discussion...", so the second curly brace } is intepreted as user text, not as a control character And Paperpile is mauling that on export. When you compile the entry from…

Your code misses a backslash (\\relax): if (Translator.BetterBibTeX) { for (const creator of zotero.creators) { creator.firstName = creator.firstName .replace(/Philippe/g, '{\\relax Ph}ilippe') } tex.addCreators(); }

I agree with that, but there are cases where there is no other choice. The only clean solution is math support in Zotero, but I reckon that would be hard to render for citeproc.
-
It only works with https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/ installed.
-
Oh this was also on a displaylink monitor. That also sometimes messes with apps.
-
I do have a app switcher replacement, but Zotero is the only app that I've seen this with. This was with only BBT installed. I can't reliably replicate it, and it is pretty reliably gone when I restart Zotero, this this will be hard to test without …

That is an option that is available, but it is (to my knowledge) not a required option. I could take the lab option if that suited me, and (as far as I know) you are allowed to take a "personal" subscription. The downside is that the one account who…

I know about the lab/institutional pricing, which comes with some administrative tools that do offer a lot of value, but it is not the case that because you are a lab that you would be required to use the lab option. You can just use a personal unli…

I don't know your budget so it could well be prohibitively expensive for your situation, but just to put some numbers to it: for labs or any other kind of organization, a single US$120/year subscription would cover an unlimited number of people usin…

This import without issue for me on beta 35 + BBT

Now fixed

That's exactly what Zotero native sync is for though. It's not free, but it's (IMO) not expensive, and it's the most hassle-free and reliable way to do what you want. Only one user in the group needs to have a paid subscription.

I've scheduled the release of Better BibTeX 6.7.109 which will have this, but specifically for biblatex (as the stackexchange post mentions); bibtex doesn't have documented rules for what fields are allowed in @misc (that I know of).
-
That will also delete any auto-exports you would have had. Support happens on github. 1400 items isn't really a large database.
-
There's still something wrong with it, I'm looking into it.
-
Blockquote
-
Html markup
-
ternary support turned out to be fairly easy, so that's in now.
-
Which is why BBT still treats it as a mixed-purpose field.
-
what to do with free text which is truly a note ? Preferably it should go in a separate note item, not the extra field. BBT does still support the extra field having fields and notes together, but having the extra field reserved for fields would mak…

And the developer tried to help. The issue is potentially fixed in .106

Problems with Better BibTeX should be reported at https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues. "Updated" probably means that the auto-export status shows a new completion timestamp -- why that was updated and not the export file is som…

It's coming back in Zotero 6 somewhere today, and I am prepping a PR for Zotero 7 to replace the existing sentence case with BBT sentencecase.

@jessenia.polack please open an issue on https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues

No magic; | is equivalent to ; except ; is allowed at the end of a formula where | is not. The "magic" is in the .len at the end. If that fails, the formula jumps to the next candidate, regardless of where it appears in the sub-formula. No way to f…

Even if you only suspect its Better BibTeX, please open an issue on https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues.

Is this the normal Zotero BibTeX export, or a Better BibTeX export? If the latter, please report on https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues
-
I've added it back for backwards compat in .101, but plugins are going to want to use the new field, because that will also work without BBT when the formal citation key field comes to Zotero.
