Change the `layout` section in `citation` to:
-
What is your use case here?
-
It’s generally planned, but no ETA on when that will be available. Right now, there is no way to sync notes with images in them.
-
You can add it to Extra like this: DOI: 10.1234/56789 That will get picked up by citation styles, and it will be migrated to a proper DOI field when one is available. If you save this item to your library using the Zotero browser connector, it will…
-
You are confusing “citations” and “footnotes”. You are citing the item a second time, but the footnote number is going to be new—it would be confusing for a footnote style if it were otherwise. This is different from a numeric style, where numbers a…

If you want full multilingual support in your bibliography, you should look at Jurism, a version of Zotero with much expanded multilingual support: https://juris-m.github.io
-
Do you get this on all sites?
-
You just need to select the new style from Document preferences. If you have many citations, it might take some time for the updating to finish.
-
The Zotero Memento plugin can do this checking automatically I think.
-
In the mean time, the Citation Key: in Extra approach will work.

See here for how to restore your Zotero database from a backup: https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#restoring_your_zotero_data_from_a_backup1 @dstillman Can we split this to a new thread?

The web library on Zotero.org and Zotfile are your best options on iPad currently.

citation-key will be included in CSL 1.0.2, which is currently open for comments. We hope to tag a release in the next few weeks. I think the best approach for going from Word to Markdown is to convert to a citekey style in Word, then use pandoc t…

Install and use this version of the style: https://zotero.org/styles/apa-single-spaced
-
If you post that to a stable publicly viewable site like Vimeo or Youtube, feel free to add a link to it to the Zotero support wiki page: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/installing_on_a_chromebook

What do you mean by "update button"? There isn't any update button in the Zotero app.
-
The PLOS style, based on publisher guidelines, only includes DOIs for in press journal articles (without a volume or page number): https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/5df72503699d602957f9124892da0856c5d05642/plos.csl#L194

I totally thought that the final character needed to be alphanumeric
-
Oh, that’s a type of rule I wasn’t aware of.
-
It will apply the label formatting (long vs short) of the first locator.
-
Can you take a step back and just describe exactly what you are trying to do? And what citation style you are using? Please give specific examples of what you are trying to cite and what you want them to look like.
-
If I remember correctly from the last time I worked with the live editing in Word, the problem mainly happens if you try to insert a citation in a paragraph that another user is simultaneously editing.
-
A DOI should not end in a period, so you should remove that from your data. When clicking the button in Zotero, it cleans extra text before or after the DOI, but it doesn’t do that when generating citations.
-
If you haven’t already, install the BetterBibTeX plugin. Then, you can set your default Export format to be the BBT citation key (which has the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+C and can also be used with drag and drop). You can also set any of Zutilo’s additional…

One option would be to insert Scannable Cite placeholder citations from the Zotero web library, then when you are done writing, on a computer that has the Zotero client use LibreOffice to do your final formatting. If you are comfortable with some c…

@KMadvisor For things like a reference library (versus actively-edited documents), Zotero Group libraries have a few advantages over Dropbox and similar. First, the same item can be part of many collections and tags. So, if a report is used in one…

What do you want the book series to look like in the reference?
-
I think this is just a limitation of trying to parse when a string of words is a plural or a single item with a plural-like title. For example, this volume should have “vol.” rather than “vols.”: Vol. 2: Industrial and Organizational Psychology P…

It should differentiate, but I _really_ recommend against deleting things from your metadata to fit MLA's rule here. The middle initial is part of the author's published name (e.g., I would really not like to be cited without the "M." in my name), a…
