I want to convert all "report" items in my library to "preprint". I was only using the "report" item type because the "preprint" type wasn’t available in previous Zotero versions.

I’m not sure I understand your question; by "identifies them collectively" you mean like a tag? If that’s the case, I can sort my entire library by "item type" then select all the "report" items, and apply them a tag? Would that work?

@adamsmith can I just leave connector logging turned on? the delays are intermittent (e.g. today, no problem in sight) so it’s a bit unpredictable

Oh crap, the option "Sync attachment files in group libraries using Zotero storage" was disabled in my macOS client. Must have disabled that for some reason in the past. Thank you @dstillman !
