Okay, thank you for the hint @dstillman. I always used to have it like that, so I did the same. However, I took your advice and it installed like a charm, nothing seems lost. Thank you for the help!!

Thank you, @dstillman! That's really weird. Currently I cannot even hit cancel, it's greyed out. I installed it into the Zotero folder where I also have my Zotero folder and everything. Let's see, if it is done after the 1,2 million files that are i…

I updated and it looked good. Then it said I should use the 64 version, which I am installing since 2 hours. It seems to take forever. Does it convert files and folders? So far the installation dialogue shows 644000 files and 52963 folders... Thank…

@khinsen: you can enable google play for the Boox products and then it works.

Thanks!

To make this I opened the citation, searched, and added: D519170948 The exactly same search in Zotero standalone takes a bit over 10 seconds - in Word it takes around 30 seconds. Thanks

Great, thank you Dan! Will this also bring performance improvements of the simple search in Word, besides postponing the citation updates to manual updating? Best, Dennis
-
Yes, potentially, Mark. Saw your link but wasn't entirely sure... Seems that the new update mentioned there is not out yet. Hope this also improves performance largely. Even though I very much like Zotero and the good work of the team, it really is…

Happy New Year to all of you! I do have the same problem as Peter. Searches just show wrong results from "cited" and the one I am looking for somewhere in between or even below the "cited" section if not yet cited in the paper... Writing and editi…

Great, thank you so much for your support!

Great, thank you so much for the quick response. Sorry, it seems that I was just to stupid to find this in the doc even though I was searching and browsing a lot.
-
I have made some experiments. I cannot completely make clear what it does. The effect you are suggesting that publications with the searched author are listed seperately for the different libraries whether its a first author or not seems to be tru…

Sure. I have made two screenshots so you can also see the rest when i scroll down: http://www.filedropper.com/unbenannt-1 Best, Dennis PS: My library has about 12000 items and searching is also pretty slow in this place even though i have a…

Great, thanks Dan. Searching for a Author does now seem to work and bring up cited ones. However, there still seems to be some errror. I have my library and one group library. It often does show in this order: Cited .. .. My Li…

Sorry to bug you, but are there news on the fix?
-
Are there any news on the date for the standalone version with the fix?
-
Great, thank you Dan and Adam!

Okay, great, thank you. Its good you guys have it on the screen now and that there is a workaround with searching the title, which is a bit more work but it is a workaround at least.
-
You are correct. Searching for the title instead of the author does help. Cited items then show up again. Also, the akward behavior of having the "my library" and the group library twice or so does not happen when searching for the title. …

I have also another akward behavior when adding a citation with the quick cite search in word. It used to have things in this order: cited, my library, group library Now it does not show the cited section anymore at all. My library is first, th…

Can anyone else reproduce this issue? It is horrible since i have a lot of duplicates in my library and now if i cite, i do get duplicate entries in the bibliography since i do not know which one i cited before and maybe cite the duplicate inst…

Thank you for the quick reply. I have tried it in a new Word document and with different citations and citation styles, and yes, it indeed stays like this. The "cited" never shows up again anymore. My system: Win 7 Zotero Standalone…

Does no one have an idea. I am still struggeling to resolve these two issues. Best regards and thank you Dennis

Dear all, I have come up with another associated question. Has anyone tried to implement a mechanism that allows automatically generating a bibliography in a PDF from a collection. What I would like to do is, I would like to put a link on m…

Dear all, thank you for these helpful hints. I do get my library listed when using the URL and I am able to embed it in this way: Now, this gives me back the references as unstyled output in my website but if I insert a stylesheet or the style …

Dear all, I am having the same problem. The icon for importing a cite/paper from chrome into Zotero standalone just does not show up anymore after having worked for months without any problems. I am using Chrome Version 23.0.1271.91 Sta…

@adamsmith: Yes, that is correct. We went through and replaced them with group library citations. Regarding the group library: Yes, the associated folders in the group library were uploaded by the colleague who cannot use the document with the …

We need to add, that we corrected the links to our group library on one laptop and are now having this problem on another pc of a colleague who has also access to the same group library. Thanks

Unfortunately, I have to say that I just stumbled upon a US high impact journal (http://www.misq.org/manuscript-guidelines) that requires the short - for the page number range in its style. What should be done? Thanks
