Plug-In Issue: "Word could not communicate with Zotero."

bwiernikThere should be a Zotero tab. Is that not the case?
-
jennieeryNo there is not a zotero tab. When I open my old word (2008) there is and it is working but not my new word 15.41.
-
adamsmithDo you have the option to Reinstall Word components in the "Cite" tab of the Zotero preferences? If so, try that. If not, check if Zotero for Mac Word is installed and enabled under Tools --> Add-ons.
-
jennieeryI reinstalled but I still do not see zotero. Under tools in word there is no option for add ons, just macro and “templates and add-ins”
-
bwiernikadamsmith meant Tools -> Add-ons in Zotero, not Word.
-
eanimmons@adomasven hi there - sorry for the delay - I've just sent the zipped file to the support email.
-
adomasven@jennieery Word 14.41 seems to be causing a bunch of problems for a lot of users, but yours is different to the one discussed here. Please create a separate thread and we'll try to help you out.
-
adomasven@eanimmons Could you install this template file into the Word startup folder, restart Word and see if it works?
-
draekellyI have the same system setup. Just downloaded that template, put it in the right folder, no luck. Same problems as reported by other users.
-
adomasven@draekelly We'd need you to make sure that the Word plugin is enabled in Zotero -> Tools -> Add-ons and if so, to follow this request, so we are sure that this is the same problem.
