What is the simplest way to rename parent items the same as child items? By adding 3500 pdfs to the library parent items were generated automatically but most with wrong titles. I want to rename all parent items as child items.

If you're running Zotero's stable release, see this discussion. You could try these steps. (The "Create Parent Items..." dialog seems to be broken in the current beta version.)

Thanks for the answer. I use the latest beta version.
Many fields of parent items are wrong. I used the Folder Import for Zotero plugin. Many names of PDFs are renamed wrongly even I choose not to rename attachments.
Many parent items are automatically chosen as Journal Article and not Book item type.
I think the best is to remove all parent items of the attached PDFs.
Any way to select all PDFs and remove parent items in batch?

The issue with Zotero's beta version has been fixed in the meantime.
