Keyboard shortcut: jump to next item

Is there a keyboard shortcut for jumping to the next item in the items pane?
I want to stay focused on a specific field in the item pane, and jump to next item, without changing the panes.

This doesn't really make sense, for various reasons:

1) Fields aren't really "focused" — you can switch a field into editing mode by clicking on it, but switching to another item always stops editing.

2) There's also no such thing as the "next" item — there's up and down in the items list, which you can trigger via the arrow keys.

3) There's no guarantee that the next item that you select would have the same field.
