Quotation marks in Zotfile extracted annotations

First off, this is a great tool; thank you to Joscha and any others who have worked on developing it. I just had one question about the Extract Annotations feature: is there any way to disable the quotation marks being placed around each annotation? I wasn't able to find a way to disable this in the ZotFile preferences window.

Thanks,
David

This should be possible, see here. Try to remove the double quotes in the preferences formatAnnotationHighlight and formatAnnotationUnderline (here).
  • Hi qqbb, thanks very much for your reply. I followed these steps, and I was able to disable the quotation marks.

    Best regards,
    David
  • Hi! Many thanks for your work and helpful instructions! I followed the instructions above to disable the quotation marks around annotations, and yet the annotations till appear in quotation marks, even after multiple restarts of the app and the laptop as well. The values that I currently have in extensions.zotfile.pdfExtraction.formatAnnotationHighlight and extensions.zotfile.pdfExtraction.formatAnnotationUnderline are <р>%(content) (%(cite))</р> and<р>%(content) (%(cite)) </р> respectively, but the quotation marks persist.
Any idea what might be causing this and what do I need to restart to kick in the changes?
