Zotero Continuously Crashing

Did you already try to update or temporarily disable your security software?

Windows 10 version 1909 has some reported issues with some antivirus software:

Crashes due to "asepkcs.dll" might also be related to e.g. Avast antivirus:

Running Kaspersky Endpoint Security, (no Avast or AVG), I tried disabling for 1 hour Kaspersky but it crashed even with Kaspersky disabled.

(That's up to you, I cannot judge whether this is a good idea.)

Also, make sure to restart Windows after uninstalling software.

Fil_ hasn't said they're running ID Protect Monitor, and they obviously shouldn't download that if they're not using it. And I don't think this has anything to do with Avast — I think the person in that thread was confused.

@Fil_, what was the smart card software you were running? If you search your system for asepkcs.dll, do you find it? Where? (C:\Windows\System32\asepkcs.dll?)

yes it is in that file path,
for what I understand it should be supported by Incard. I also tried to update the drivers but no success in solving the issue..

To fix this, you likely need to either delete that library or update it to a version later than 6.5.0.5, and then restart your computer.

I just re-installed all three software/divers connected to the smart card autenthication process and Zotero is not crashing... fingers crossed...

Zotero seems to be finally working after reinstalling all the three drivers and softwares (I didn't know they were so much) related to my smart autenthication system. Thank you guys for helping identifying the problem and then solving it! : )
