    I’m using command+c/command+v (Mac) and the links are still breaking. It used to work just fine, but now it’s not. The Google Docs plugin is also SUPER slow lately and freezes.

    When I copy-paste text in Google Docs that contains Zotero links, the links break and I get notified (often much later) that they have become unlinked from Zotero. I have never had this problem before

    This sounds like you didn't transfer the document from Google docs properly and the original citations aren't linked to Zotero anymore.

    I downloaded a document from google docs which contains citations from zotero. However, the citations still show up as indexed numbers [1], while new citations show ap as full name and date citations

    Do note however that Google Docs editing Zotero citations like this is actually bad as Zotero no longer recognizes the part of the citation that turns blue, so you want to undo those changes whenever

    You can try re-enabling the ones you had, one by one, and see if you can identify what broke it. Be sure to reload Google Docs after each change.

    The company I work for stores all documents using Google Drive. Using the Google Drive sync tool, I have been creating and saving Microsoft Words documents in this drive.

    Always, in the past, (in the v1 of gdocs integration) pasting a citation was accompanied by a short delay and a 'please wait' before the paste was complete.

    so if you don't do it in a copy then the Google Docs version history is the only option.

    You should always unlink in a copy of the document, since you can't undo it, but in a Google Doc you should be able to restore a version from before the unlinking using the Google Docs version history

    I have a big problem. I unlinked Zotero citations in my thesis on Google docs so I could put in in a pdf format and send it to my supervisor. But now I want to reactivate them on my Google doc version
