Yes, if you can send test credentials to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread, that would be helpful.

I copied the folder database from the windows machine to a custom location in the linux machine (e.g. ~/test/zotero).

I can give you test credentials on this server, although this bug appears to be Zotero deciding to not send the credentials in the place.
