    I don't know of any reliable and comprehensive databases for US dissertations that you could use to replace ProQuest/UMI, and those that you'd find may not have the UMI numbers.

    Zotero does work with some Proquest databases, so you could try to get the data from there - that would avoid you the trouble of inserting data by hand, though you'll probably still have to go one by

    Yes, definitely. I've probably exported 100 records directly from ProQuest into Zotero in the past few weeks, although I notice that 2.1.8 is new as of Monday, and I last used zotero Monday morning. T

    Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/ProQuest 2.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data).

    I'll try to get back to working on this when my institution moves to the new version of ProQuest. In the meantime, angwe's solution may be the best one. Sorry for the hassle.

    Hey, just a heads-up for anyone still looking for ProQuest solutions. I'm reading newspaper articles and if I have the actual article view pulled up, Zotero doesn't see any biblio information to grab.

    I have the latest version downloaded, but the journal articles in ProQuest do not have the zotero icon. The only way I have figured out how to get the info in is manually...:(
