I've checked and matched the settings in Zotero Standalone and through those available in the Firefox extension.

@chrisbuttimer @rwany_sibaja @criktech You should all try to download the Zotero Connector Beta (for Firefox), not the Zotero beta (the desktop client) and try testing whether citing works correctly.

I have downloaded Zotero onto a Mac. I deleted Safari and am trying to use Firefox but Zotero keeps trying to connect with Safari and failing. Any ideas for a fix? Thank you!

I just tested this. On a Windows 10 machine it works with Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.

@adamsmith: I can reproduce what you described about downloading raw files from GitHub. This should be an issue with Firefox.

Are you sure you're testing with the same file? I'd guess that you'd find that there was a problem with that particular file, and that if you downloaded it again it would work. There shouldn't be any
