    Generally "Could not create java implementation loader" means that LibreOffice cannot initialise Java, because it's either not installed, not detected by LibreOffice or wrongly configured.

    But Zotero doesn't support OpenOffice, and hasn't in years. You should upgrade to LibreOffice, which is much better maintained and which Zotero supports.

    Removing the directory (C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice) works but makes user-defined templates disappeared as well. If anyone wants to preserve the templates, you could try removing C:\Users\App

    Everything that was once wonderful about OpenOffice is now even better with LibreOffice. The original developers moved to LO early-on. Although the very reputable group Apache now owns the OO project

    Like I said, Zotero does not support Open Office and hasn’t in years. Any partial functionality you might see on your laptop won’t be reliable, as Zotero relies on changes to the LibreOffice code made

    Zotero does not support Open Office. Install LibreOffice instead, which is much more actively developed.

    For Word, you need to save in DOCX or DOC. For LibreOffice, you need to save in ODT.

    We want to avoid platform-specific features unless it's a limit of a platform itself, that goes for Zotero on different OSes or citing on different word processors. We would still accept a PR for Word
