"Install Microsoft Word Add-in" not appearing and Word integration problems
Hello,
I'm a university librarian and just tried, unsuccessfully, to help a student fix a problem she was having in Zotero.
Problem 1: When the student tries to insert a citation in Word using the visible Zotero toolbar, she gets the error: "Word could not communicate with Zotero. Please ensure that Zoero is open and try again." Her Zotero client is open. She tried to restart both Word and Zotero and received the error again.
Problem 2: In an effort to remedy this problem, we tried to (re)"Install Microsoft Word Add-In" from the "Word Processors" tab under "Cite." Unfortunately, there were no options to install, or re-install, Word or LibreOffice. The only text visible on this box was a checkbox for "Use classics add citation dialog."
After encountering both issues, we closed Zotero and Word and reinstalled Zotero. The problems still persist.
Here is the information about her computer:
Word 16.22
MacBook Air
MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.3
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
