Here is a documentation for starting with CSL: https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step

This should be fixed now. A new version of the translator is up. Good luck in your workshops.

You cannot restrict to the *first* only AFAIK. @adamsmith code will give you Smith JH, for a person names John Henry Smith.

You can add in visual editor a node of type number (#), enable volume as its variable, and change the form (number format) to roman, and maybe change the text-case to uppercase.

This should be https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=taylor-and-francis-harvard-v

@adamsmith: Yes, done. @r.douhi: I will try to find some time. Alternatively, you or your staff can write that as well (that is the nice thing in open source software and coding at github). Maybe you can convince one or your "catalog developer" to …

1) The et-al in the middle pane of zotero is independent of everything else here in this discussion. Maybe that is hardcoded and cannot localized. @Dan : Any thoughts on that? 2) The doubling of the initials are a result of the MARC data, e.g. 702 …

Thank you for report. I fixed the style, which should be soon available.

I think that the Factiva translator is at the moment not saving any snapshots. @aurimas : Did you changed that on purpose?
-
That sound great. You can share your update over github, see here. If you encounter any problems let us know.

Here is a first version of a translator for the catalogue of the national library of belarus: [...edited...] Can you test and report your results here?
-
Okay, thank you for the information. I will try to scrape the MARC from the national library catalogue first and then we have to see if we can tweak the MARC import a little to deal better with BELMARC. I tried to come up with a mapping: 101 ->…

Maybe a saved search with your criterions publication="Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society", volume="5", number="6" will be interesting for you in the meantime. Moreover, you can add fields to sort your collections in different ways, e.g.…

Yes, I would try to get BELMARC from the HTML representation (which is not so nice for that). UNIMARC should be handled reasonable well in Zotero. I haven't seen that one can export to BELMARC from your catalogue, is this possible? Can you elaborate…
-
@adamsmith: I will improve it now.
-
I have found BELMARC in both catalogues. Do you know whether this is similar the other dialects like to MARC21 or UNIMARC? This should be possible to try out...

There are citation manuals who distinguish between female (eadem) and male (idem) authors, and singular and plural authorship. I don't know if this also can be the case for English style manuals. Polnish wikipedia has an example for a style with ide…
-
Okay, I see. And can a dependent style overrule with its own default-locale the default-locale from the base style?
-
Okay, thank you for the information. I created an entry in the knowlege base about idem. Feel free to improve/translate it.
-
You can use different collections or tags for the "labels". Moreover, I would suggest for your use case to look at the related items possibilities. If you add the maps as well to Zotero, then you can add related items for a map to all the correspond…

It is possible to substitute the same subsequent authors in the bibliography, but not in citations. Is this (still) the current status, or did I miss some options here? I guess, it is not as easy as to "copy and paste" the handling in the bibliograp…

The CSL local file for Icelandic is complete, but it still may contain errors. For example, I doubt that "available at" is the same in Icelandic.
-
You can export your entire library for example as CSV, do some fromating and adjusting stuff in Excel and print it from there.
-
Well, one can share the RSS feed with the key. But this way you will see mainly bibliographic data (no notes, pdfs, annotations) AFAIK.
-
Wouldn't this be a use case for a private key (https://www.zotero.org/settings/keys)?
