Okay, it seems that this website changed some dynamic page loading and the translator code jumps into it too early such that it detects nothing. I will try to fix this.
-
The "et-al" should be a child node of "names" and not "name".
-
Yes, indeed. Changed to an absolute link and it works! Thank you very much! Dan: It would be nice if Zotero can also handle relative path in OpenSearch links.
-
I have to ask around here a little. My first thought is, that the COinS data might be loaded afterwards into the website and therefore you might have to trigger Zotero again. But I agree that we should try to use the PNX data directly.

Can we make the options in the export dialog maybe easier? AFAIS we just need the options a) use UTF-8, or, b) use ASCII and escape all special characters. Is there any reason in 2016 to use another option/character encoding? Moreover, we should rem…

A translator fix is now up. Your version of Zotero will automatically update within 24hs, or you can update manually using the "Update Now" button in the "General" tab of the Zotero preferences. If you're using Standalone, restart Zotero and your br…

Well, you have something like rft_id=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.infoclio.ch%2Fde%2Fpaperworks-literarische-und-kulturelle-praktiken-mit-schere-leim-papier, but the url is maybe not the best id to give here. If there is an url given in the metadata as an id, …

Okay, I see some problems with the Vimeo translator and can try to fix these. But YouTube worked fine for me on some tests. Can you provide some example urls where you encounter problems?

Re: I found the commit again, it is the same translator (Pica) and it can already deal with cases like 3 vol.(XII-XXIII-681, 540, 739 p.) ; 8vo from http://www.sudoc.abes.fr/DB=2.1/SRCH?IKT=12&TRM=024630527

We add the TOC pdf for the GBV ISBN search translator, try for example to search for "3866882408" in the identifier lookup inside zotero. Moreover, I remember that in one translator someone came up with a pretty evolved workflow for different format…

This should be doable. I will look into this.

Thanks for the update and I am happy that it works again.

Thank you! Looking forward to hear from them. Keep us informed.

Actually things have gotten worse--they've apparently broken the "save PDF to Zotero" function when downloading PDFs. Yeah, this is kind of the same as calling the url for the PDF directly. Can you reach out to frontiers? I guess you have more wei…
-
I looked at the example and the problem is that the url of the pdf http://journal.frontiersin.org/article/10.3389/fgene.2012.00190/pdf does not work when called directly, but it works when one calls it from the Frontiers website. Maybe they are requ…

However, the fields pmid and pmcid in BibTeX should already work. Try it out and then you can search & replace in your large BibTeX file before importing it to Zotero.
-
You can look at some common code blocks for translators. Normally, I just copy and paste everything there and then just go through the four lines with TODOs. The scrape function can then mean more work. @_Ceridwen_ : I am looking forward to see you…

@Rintze : All these examples also provide metadata which can be extracted by using the EM translator, which is just "behind" the currently more prioritized DOI translator.
-
My argument for EM would be that it allows for richer metadata (again, abstract & PDF, probably more) and should just be preferred, especially because I'd argue that the presence of COinS correlates with high-quality EM. Sorry, but I am not co…

Thank you for starting this discussion. Yes, I absolutely agree, that at the moment in a lot of cases EM translator should be preferred over DOI translator (mostly when some DOIs are present in the reference section of an HTML article). However, I …

Yes, that is right. Actually, you can try here also the "Embedded Metadata" translator by clicking on the arrow-down symbol in the zotero icon, which seems better. @adamsmith: I will make a suggestion to change the behavior of the special dialnet t…

Hm.. this line (3)(+0000002): Translate: Embedded Metadata: found 0 meta tags. There are metadata (I have here 47 meta tags) in that page, which will result in some data, but I don't understand why they are not recognized. @Dan: Any idea?
-
I tested these sites with Firefox and they work for me. @Dan: What is in the reports?

Can you provide some information which database you tried and which query you tried? Maybe also the permalink to the document? The extraction of keywords and tags from EBSCO should usually work. Do keywords/tags work on other sides? Did you check y…

You can share your code for example in a gist, i.e. https://gist.github.com/ which will help people having the same need. This would also allow us, to look closer at your code. I corrected the dead link in the wiki. Thank you.
