Sorry will need to look into this another time - have some deadlines to meet.
-
I am abit confused by this myself - they are all different titles, different authors, though I haven't systematically checked if they are the same DOI. Initially, I had mistakenly assumed the duplicates are 2nd and extra copies of what's in my libr…

Like for different chapters of same book.

Sorry you could delete this thread.
-
Ah - sorry might then now have to delete the other thread... But on this point, does one have to do one by one? Some suggested sets to merge seem to be quite unrelated, how do I indicate not a duplicate? And any batch methods?
-
I don't know if this is correct thread for inquiring about 100% duplicates. But will give it a shot... When one imports 100% duplicates to existing entries, do these duplicates go to straight to trash or does one need to "weed" them out manually? …

So it worked for Bibtex but not Ris.
-
Think this helped: Deleting mimeTypes.rdf from your profile directory and restarting Firefox or Zotero Standalone is generally what's needed to fix file handling issues. mimeTypes.rdf stores file handling associations and will be recreated auto…
-
you can try opening the file in a text editor, selecting it's entire content (ctrl+a), copy it (ctrl+c) and then use Zotero's import from clipboard. Frequently that has helped in similar situations. *********************** Tried that first throug…

I suppose then it is a known issue? Just that I didnt know otherwise. Quirks like this - one must know to make informed choices. Just that not knowing has costed me fair of time to strip the whole word add on clean. In fact too much time with all…

From the file handling link: Unexpected behavior (wrong action, gibberish ("%PDF..."), etc.) when opening files from Zotero Deleting mimeTypes.rdf from your profile directory and restarting Firefox or Zotero Standalone is generally what…

Sorry - for my layman's terminology. Known bug retracted. Just that it is not easy to decipher whether problem is my system alone: the "is it me or not" problem.
-
Yes I can open them in Firefox.
-
Good to know it is a known bug... hence for now, Endnote (for some).
-
Here is the new thread, but would also be curious if the debugging notes can still address the Acrobat pdf open in browser (without tag toggle) issue. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/32526/importing-bibtex-ris-problems/
-
And the scrambling of citations between Mendeley and Zotero in Word? As for the sentence case aspect, one can't do batch changes?
-
Does Zotfile also send to GoogleDrive? Kinda reviewing my Dropbox as it is getting to pricey beyond 200GB.
-
Yes I have Firefox 24. I have added pdf viewer from Firefox add-ons. But then my Acrobat wouldnt work. Disenabling that would at least allow Acrobat to open in tab (provided I toggle the tab). I went through pretty much everything Adobe su…

Rintze Regarding: @TTLP, any particular reason for including [3] Endnote's bibliographic formatting in your proposed workflow? What's wrong with Zotero's bibliographic output? _____ You may have noticed that I've added …

Just to ensure centralisation of topic, here is the following link: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/30349/import-pdfs-from-mendeley-to-zotero/#Item_19

I like option 2: If you do want annotations, there are many different ways of doing things, depending on what you need. One way would be to continue to sync through Zotero, but also to specify a folder in dropbox as a ZotFile tablet folder, …
-
No I don't have that in my Firefox's extensions.
-
How do I know if I have the dev version? Sorry I have lost track.
-
How does one know the difference? Also could I batch rename my pdf with Zotfile in the meantime, and then attempt for another reset for sync to copy from my local onto server? How long should I assume for changes to be completely repopulat…

Funny I just discovered if I toggle to tag mode for Zotero in Firefox, it works... Is that what one needs? Or it is it related to dev version of pdf.js? Do I need to change anything?
-
In the browser navigation ribbon, it seems to be trying to process something, then it generates for example: "zotero://attachment/16/" Namely there is no change from original address.
-
Exact Message: "The attached file could not be found. It may have been moved or deleted outside of Zotero". With button option to either "Locate" or "Cancel".
-
I wrote too soon... Whilst synching, my Firefox crashed. So I restarted, and now clicking the file, nothing fires up. Only works if one right-click mouse to view externally via Acrobat.

When logging from another computer through standalone, it says some Pdf links are either deleted or changed (which could be true as I have been experimenting), but how do I batch reconnect the links? I have 25Gb Zotero storage - and would be ha…
