I now realised that I have to change in Firefox's options - with Acrobat in Firefox rather than just Acrobat. But thought I might include the following link for others with similar issues: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/29559/cannot-…

I have tried resetting the above hidden preferences for both Firebox and standalone - but neither works for me. I have also restarted both programs and still the I can only read pdfs as external to firebox and standalone. I have also in f…

Okay now the challenge is to get the pdfs to open within the browser or standalone [if that's possible], so I am now referring to this link: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/23749/annotate-attached-pdfs/ Which hasn't worked for me.

This has got to be the most EXCELLENT outcome I have experienced in months and months of frustration with managing my 35,000+ database. So I followed your instruction: 1. Export library as RIS from Mendeley (go to "all documents", select a…

But what about the attached Pdfs from Mendeley? The key is that they come attached or can be automatically reattached with the relevant reference. Can one also do this in bibtex? I have since started another thread to centralise ideas for migra…

Ok maybe to keep things simple, I just need simple, step by step instructions to import my pdfs with bibtex/ ris into Zotero from Mendeley - but I dont want to mess up my Mendeley account - not just yet.
-
If those pdfs are found in the Mendeley organised folder, can one copy them and paste into Mendeley's downloaded folder? Or create a duplicate back-up version to test? Other than that, I have been reading different threads about importing RIS/ …

I've tried that already Dan, quite a few times. Anyhow, luckily a few days before this all went wrong, I did a system wide-back up. So I did a whole image restore. Drastic, but luckily it brought it back to before I did this massive import. Per…

Sorry Dan, I am in transit. Based on your description, I would say it's a freeze. And the Debug ID is what I've submitted from the very beginning. Also yes the auto-sync has been disabled - otherwise, it would freeze straight away upon boot up.
-
I am not sure if I know the difference - any command I tried from sync to search, it just freezes whilst my cursor turns and turns, then Zotero says it's not responding - pretty much the same time, everything turns to white.
-
When it crashes - says XUL Runner is not responding.
-
I still have problems - can't search either as it also sends it crashing. My Mendeley is also affected - don't know if that is because I have both plugins in Word. I might now try an overall system backup restore.

Sorry no items in trash.

Items - around 17600 In trash, still 265 items.

And my Areo cursor just keeps spinning... Zotero is consuming a lot of memory from my Windows Task Manager viewing. 1,615,588K. Pretty much have to shut down alot of other applications to feed its busy-ness or crashing-ness.

Though I see 501255 lines logged in the preference window.

There were lots in the trash - thousands....maybe even more,.. Debug itself says not responding...
