Weird. http://www.ploscompbiol.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pcbi.0020137 gave me an error message but I still got the PDF and the bibliographic data downloaded just fine (in fact, several copies since I clicked a few times)

mark: Good luck with that! It would probably be a good idea if people didn't explain exactly which platform they were trying to export to -- I can imagine that Thomson/Reuters is not exactly falling over themselves to facilitate data transfer…

It seems like this (periods after titles is a special case, but the more general issue of journal abbreviations seems to apply here) is a bit of a can of worms at this point ... ? http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4330/ http://forums.…

Having this issue, have accepted third party cookies etc. (accidentally started a new thread at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4468/ ). Any news on this? Resolved in 1.0.8/1.5?

Oops, you're right. I got the data &file. So I guess this is a false-error problem rather than a scraping problem? (The bibliographic info looked OK, at a quick glance) thanks Ben Bolker

PLoS Pathogens translator broken? http://www.plospathogens.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.ppat.0020090 checked "known translator issues" -- only thing mentioned is a third-party cookies issue. I have third-party cookies allowed, a…

Seconded. http://www.pnas.org/content/104/44/17441.abstract I managed to get the citation via Google Scholar, but that doesn't download the PDF ... thanks Ben Bolker

ammodram & philosopherdog, s/he means italics _within_ fields -- as in http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/667/ one of the tickets in the bugs data base says: Starting with Revision 1456 of core.vb (1454 of Zotero.dot), text…

JabRef will do this -- not that that solves the problem of doing it in Zotero, but it suggests that it shouldn't be too hard? (JabRef is GPL too, so one can look at its guts to see what it does ...)

looks broken again? http://www.esajournals.org/perlserv/?request=get-abstract&doi=10.1043%2F0012-9658(1992)073[1227%3ALHEISE]2.0.CO%3B2 thanks guys ... Ben

works for me (Zotero 1.0.6, FF 3, Ubuntu 8.04) with a bib file cut and pasted from your comment ...

For what it's worth, I managed to get CSV export (sort of) in the following way: Zotero export to BibTeX BibTeX export to OpenOffice ODS format via JabRef ODS to CSV via OpenOffice ... but this is just to add my two cents that it sur…

For what it's worth, I can get the individual articles if I click through to them -- I just don't see the multi-item folder icon on the table of contents page given above. Bug or wish list item?

I saw in the release announcement that FF 3 beta 5 is not recommended. I'm on Ubuntu Gutsy, supposedly RC1 will be coming out for Gutsy in the next few days. Are the problems with beta 5 sufficiently nasty (i.e. database-corrupting, etc.) that I sh…

Following up on this a bit ... it looks like Proc Roy Soc B is just a nuisance, generally. Trying to find anywhere to import this article's data from -- http://www.metapress.com/content/653132l126m088r7/?p=c96dc9171b7546098a064937dea2b0…

Thanks for working on this ... but ... I still get an error on the URL above ... I poked around and looked at the fixed ticket (which is a little beyond me), but don't know what else I can do to help fix this ... Zotero 1.0.3, checked for late…

I have had similar issues in the past. But now, I'm getting "an error occurred ..." when trying to grab the following: http://www.esajournals.org/perlserv/?request=get-abstract&issn=1051-0761&volume=016&issue=01&page=0020&a…

Thanks very much for the workaround! It is still a pain, but will save some time. I second (third) the request for a bug fix ... Ben Bolker

Just wondering if there were any thoughts on an interim Zotero-plus-Connotea solution. I certainly agree that in the long run an all-Zotero solution is great, but in the meanwhile jumping back and forth between Zotero (to save refs) and Connotea (t…

I believe this is an outstanding problem that Zotero doesn't know about comments etc. in BibTeX files. Try editing the comments out -- I had no problem importing once I did that. Ben Bolker

This is now fixed (sort of), but the retrieval is still a little bit funky -- the title is oddly formatted and the journal is missing. http://www.esajournals.org/perlserv/?request=get-abstract&doi=10.1890%2F06-0737.1 gives me Qu…
