Using the forums as the primary feedback mechanism is frustrating. How do I know whether the devs have seen this and acknowledged it as a bug report?
-
I don’t think Zotero has any native means of editing PDFs.
-
Yeah, Zotero is asking for more than half of my 15” screen, and some apps are not happy with that. When I turn “Displays have separate Spaces” off, and choose “Move Window to Right Side of Screen,” about a third of the window is off the screen. I ca…

It’s not *possible* to support plugins? Obsidian manages to do it rather well…
-
I mean, that works, sort of, but it’s not really “split view” anymore. However, I never even knew about this setting; that’s an interesting feature.
-
I dunno. Maybe it’s a screen size issue? Note the big black bar in my image; when I actually do split screen, all that’s taken up with the Zotero window, though I can then resize it.
-
Okay, so it doesn’t work with *Safari.* Or Pages. But it does work with Notes and Finder. So can it be updated to work with Safari? On the other hand, it *does* work with Firefox, so a least there’s a workaround.

…no? https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u8962722/2b706xob1tbfb1u9np7w.png Zotero 10.0-beta.7 macOS 12.7.6

`app.update.auto` is true, so I don’t know why it’s not updating.
-
I use an update tracker to let me know when my software needs updated. I’m still on 9.0-beta.21+1a89239a1; I can’t find anywhere to turn on/off automatic updates, but I certainly don’t recall turning them off.
-
I mean…the same thing I use digital annotations for? To collect quotes to use in my writing, to record my thoughts on specific passages, etc.…
-
Hard to tell if I want to upgrade then.
-
This is implemented, correct?.
-
Thanks!! Now my feature request is for that to show up when viewed in Collections.
-
A) I agree that this should be in the context menu. B) Is there a way to do this with *selections* in snapshots or PDFs? That’s when I most often need it, to look up a reference.
-
A big +1 for this (mainly just for URLs, but DOI/ISBN would be nice too). >Is it maybe possible for Zotero to automatically warn about it after adding a potential duplicate? [Linter](https://github.com/northword/zotero-format-metadata#readme) h…

We’d have to call it something else than Reading mode, perhaps, but this is still an important feature. I need to be able to hide the chrome. Perhaps it could just happen by default in full screen view.
-
Sweet! Thanks!
-
Okay, confusingly *most* text substitutions (though not smart quotes) work in annotations, but not ones where the trigger key uses option(?). I have one set up where √ changes to ✓, and it doesn’t work. But others that I’ve tested do.
-
Yeah, but it explicitly says “You can copy selected items to the clipboard by pressing Cmd+Shift+C,” which is definitely not what happens with annotations. The interface should be consistent. Frankly I don’t understand why nothing happens when you p…
-
I…okay, that works, but it’s *seriously* confusing. From that pane I would conclude that this feature is only for *notes,* not annotations, and that it only happens when you hit Command-Shift-C, not Command-C. But when you do Command-Shift-C, it doe…

Since the plugins page was removed, probably the “Download plugins from the Zotero plugins directory.” verbiage at the bottom of the Plugins window should be removed or modified.
-
It’s working now, thanks. However, Tumblr posts import as web pages, not blog posts, so there’s another one for you.
-
+1 on "a feature that would automatically mark items as new/unread and then automatically mark them as read when I reach the last page." Of course I’d want to be able to manually change it as well.

Here’s what I’ve hacked together: https://github.com/Calorion/zotero-better-notes-reference-note-template

Sweet! Thanks!

The Save to Zotero plugin doesn’t seem to recognize Goodreads at all. It saves as Web Page instead of Book. Example: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/223666.The_General_of_the_Dead_Army
-
Unfortunately, `Zotero Preferences…` is doing nothing for me in Safari 17.6.
-
This doesn’t seem to be working. I force-updated the translators and restarted both Safari and Zotero, but https://acoup.blog/2022/06/03/collections-total-generalship-commanding-pre-modern-armies-part-ii-commands/, at least, still imports as Web Pag…

This *must* be an optional feature. It really makes no sense as an always-on function.
