Great. FYI, I just asked Adam Crymble if he would be interested in helping out, or at least in donating his writing to the cause (the only licensing information I could find is a copyright notice at the bottom of the guide pages, so you might want t…

styles are updated occasionally (on updates I believe - though I've never quite understood this See http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/11946/style-error-mla/?Focus=57993#Comment_57993

That's fairly US-centric! Note that I think one should include state information. I'm just trying to think of corner cases. I have never seen a style that requires it APA (http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/08/): "Note: For "Location," y…

I think a separate state-field would do more harm than good. As adamsmith already indicated, don't you in a lot of cases need the state to unambiguously point to a certain place (e.g. there are about 15 places in the US called Amsterdam, http://www…

This feature of CSL was never supported by Zotero and has been removed from CSL 1.0.

Just to make sure: does the style specify that in all cases the first author should be bold faced [example 1], or does it require that a certain author is bold faced, which often happens to be the first (like in a CV) [example 2]. Example 1: Zelle …

For now, Scaffold 2.0 can be installed from http://bitbucket.org/rmzelle/scaffold/downloads . However, as mentioned on the bitbucket wiki, error reporting and indenting of the JSON header of translators only work with the Zotero trunk. Once Scaffold…

As a bit more debug info, with Zotero 2.0.3, csledit.xul gives: 52 items (correct): (Zelle et al., 2008a, 2008b, 2008c, 2008d, 2008e, 2008f, 2008g, 2008h, 2008i, 2008j, 2008k, 2008l, 2008m, 2008n, 2008o, 2008p, 2008q, 2008r, 2008s, 2008t, 2008u, 20…

In that case I don't know what's giving the problem.

Do you share Adamsmith's assessment that there won't be a maintenance release of the old plugin with this bug fixed? There is a 2.0 branch, so it's possible that there will at some point be a 2.0.4 release. But if you don't want to wait for that (an…

Mea culpa. While the isolated code (below) generates "ba" when the previous suffix was "az" when run in a javascript interpreter (http://www.mochikit.com/examples/interpreter/), I now see that the "i" variable is global, which probably is messing th…

How can I check if initials are space-delimited in my Zotero library? You can check this by looking at the item's metadata. Select one of the items that are giving problems in the middle column of the Zotero pane. For that item, click on the initial…

You might be looking at a different issue. Can you check if initials are space-delimited in your Zotero library (e.g. "Peter J. B." instead of "Peter J.B.")?

An updated translator is now available. Your copy of Zotero should auto-update within 24 hours, or you can update manually by clicking Update Now in the General pane of the Zotero prefs.

I've pushed the updated Google Scholar translator. Are you sure? I don't see anything in Trac.

In CSL 1.0, it is possible to apply formatting to the different name-parts, which should exempt the "and" term from the applied formatting. http://citationstyles.org/downloads/specification.html#name-part-formatting

Can you give a few PMIDs or URLs of papers where this is the case?

There are quite a few CSL and XML errors in your example. See also http://www.zotero.org/support/csl_simple_edits As for your question, you can use:
