Thanks. I have used that in the past and completely forgot about it :)

If this is Windows 10, you can play around with display scaling to fix, or at least improve the display. I'm using Zotero FF 4.0.29 on a Surface Pro 3 (2160x1440) and an external display (1980x 1080) and it looks crisp on both screens. The issue is…

"you're aware that you can sort by item type, right?" Was not! For a bibliography in a Word document? Where is that option?
-
This will be a welcome improvement. Does not affect me much, but one less thing to worry about when promoting Zotero :) @adomasven 10 minutes to 2 seconds! :)

Ok, thanks. Just in case someone is wondering how to do a manual update: Zotero 5.0.x > Tools > Add-ons > Zotfile (Options) > General Settings, Zotfile website (at the bottom) > Download
-
1) Put the My Publications paper/document PDF in a public folder inside (Dropbox, G.Drive etc) and add the URL to the citation, maybe in Extra or as an attached note?
-
@Joscha This does not work for me. I am at 5.0.0b3. "Just open Zotero, go to Tools->Add-ons, select the little settings wheel in the top right corner and click on "Check for Updates". "
-
I might be missing some complication here. But it seems all three requirements are easily met by using the "attach link to file" option, and storing the PDF files as per your desired folder structure in any location on your hard drive, including Dro…

@dstillman Will Zotero 5.x bring the ability to organize saved searches?
-
But 104.0 Psychology does show up before 104.1 Psychoanalysis. I also tested with 104.03 Psych and it appears between the two, as it should.

If everyone is using the same login, then obviously, Zotero sees no difference between multiple people logging in with the same credentials. If you create a group and have individuals become group members, then you can do more. However, there is no…

Yes, they sent me an email saying "the fix for the papers.sae.org page has been released to production." Incidentally, I had saved a few papers couple hours before receiving that email and had already noticed Zotero was able to grab the full and cor…

SAE has applied an update. Zotero is capturing the full and correct citation now. I tested with 5.0 Beta and SAE tested with Zotero Firefox.
-
Ok, thanks!

I've never used the feature, and probably might not going forward, but useful to know what not to do and how to fix it. The image format does not matter, right? And if sync is broken, will deleting the image reactivate the sync?
-
@dstillman Does that mean the feature will work only if you have sync turned off, but will break sync if you try to sync?
-
"Zotero works its magic by manipulating a large database and that requires computing power. That power isn't available on a tablet. " Not really. Zotero should not be challenging the computational prowess of most newer high-end tablets (and that's p…

I meant a backup of your entire Zotero folder, not a backup created by exporting the library. I believe if you have the entire folder, it will maintain the connections to your document. Maybe @adamsmith can confirm that.
-
And you have no recent backup of your library?
-
A zotero account is mostly the login details, so in terms of features and functionality, there is nothing unique about individual or organizational accounts. Right @dstillman ? If you create an account linked to a non-personal email id (e.g. myresea…

Received a call from a person in SAE's Digital Publishing, Content Management group. They have promised to look in to this issue. @adamsmith I described the issue as best I could, but I also suggested they post here regarding any questions they may…

Works for me, too. Thanks @fcheslack I will report back if something looks amiss.
-
On a different note: I must say the use of "f*cks" is most unsightly and best avoided. Surely, there is another more polite word in the language that will convey the same meaning.
-
This is not precisely an answer to your question, but have you considered attaching files as links, rather than the file itself? That way, your attachments are not syncing but your citation data is. You could do this for only the folders that are pa…

Not sure if we are on the same page. SO, the redirect for the group name, as implemented now, is great. No further action requested. The redirect for individual items in a group seems broken to me.
-
@dstillman Will this be improved in near-term?
-
@fcheslack Just wanting to make sure, you saw my last post.
-
Thanks. I think URLs to individual items might need some more work. This https://www.zotero.org/groups/684844/whatever/items/itemKey/UBKM7ANP is not redirecting to the correct object: https://www.zotero.org/groups/684844/aglc_samples/items/itemKe…

This is great. Thanks! 1. So, going forward, it does not matter how many times a group's name is changed? As long as the object exists (where object could be the group, or an individual item in the group), the URL to that object will work. Right? …
