Hi there - sorry for the delayed response. I have not done this type of work again since I wrote this post, but I will keep your request/suggestion in mind if I run into the same issue again. Thanks!
-
In case anyone finds this and is also searching for a solution - a colleague came up with a workaround. Simply move the tags pane up so that only the amount of space needed to show your active library is available. Voila!
-
Yes, I suppose it must have been a bug if indeed it behaved the way I describe, but a helpful bug for me. I'll use Item Type as secondary sort in conjunction with a colored tag to track QA/QC completion. Thank you.
-
I uploaded the files about a week before this issue occurred. It was a total of about 400 files.
-
Bummer. Yeah, they both had that sync option checked. I'll need to test it out more, I guess. Thanks for the response.
-
Perfect. The edit was super easy. Thanks to you both!

I think I can get folks on board with putting the month and day with the year in the bibliography, but if I edit "date-bib", will the in-text citations still only provide the year? Thanks for helping me work through this.

Sure. ATSDR. 2019. An overview of the science and guidance for clinicians on per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). U.S Department of Health and Human Services. December 6. https://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/pfas/docs/clinical-guidance-12-20-2019.pdf I…

Hi there, Do you guys have any further input on this? If not, I'll go ahead and revise based on my understanding; I just thought I'd try to prevent frustration and issues later by getting good instruction now. Regardless, thank you for your help!
-
Sure, I can provide more context. My company developed a first version of a global reference style and I was told it was a simplified version of APA 7th, so I began using that style then customizing to fit what our editorial team envisioned. However…

Ah thank you for telling me about toggling Word field codes - that will help. I was actually going to ask if there was a way to find the old citations easier. I'm very glad I came here to ask about this task before I started because I would have do…
-
Understood, thank you. In case you have suggestions for a fix, the reason I looked into this is my colleagues recycle portions of reports with Mendeley citations in new reports where they add Zotero citations (from the same group library). This ca…
-
No, I did not use the built-in Mendeley importer for this portion of the group library. The other part, I did use the importer using the beta, but pulled it into My Library instead of directly into the group as a safeguarding measure, if that makes …

No more sync error, by the way. Thanks for sticking with me and helping me fix it!
-
Is this a lesson that I should empty the trash more often?
-
However, I did get a result when I searched for it in the trash
-
It actually returned false
-
Sure - D1318716517
-
===>false
-
Yes, the database integrity check passed. I have two libraries starting with "I" and NZXSKZIT did not return a result in either, whether I searched for All Fields & Tags or Everything.
-
Looks like it's a lot of lines though. Maybe because I've been uploading a lot of new documents. Let me know if you need me to run it again after less work.
-
Sure thing. I just synced and here's the ID: D766132481.
-
Great, thanks!
-
It just gives me a red icon next to the sync button sometimes. No pop-up ever happens unless I click on the red icon. Sounds like I just need to ignore it, right?
-
Yep - thanks for ensuring I knew what you meant. That would indeed be disastrous!
-
I didn't even realize the search function could do that. Excellent, thanks!
-
Thank you! To be clear, I would need to open each of those code-named subfolders and delete the PDF(s) inside?
-
I'm happy to report that our tester reopened the new installation for a second time yesterday (after a month) and it automatically updated while giving helpful pop-ups. Thank you for working with me to figure this out!
-
So theoretically, if the package my company deployed to a new user was 6.0.20, what would the expected behavior be? Would it immediately, automatically apply the latest update upon install? Would it take 24 hours?
-
I spoke with an IT lead and have a follow-up question for you. Is the auto update behavior set to only occur when major updates are available rather than minor ones? I assume that, if correct, this means the next one would be 7.0 but all the minor o…
