Hi Dan, Thanks for trouble shooting this. I added comments to the launchpad report to get it confirmed and also copy/pasted your markup to test the problem into the report. Hopefully they can address it. I see that the launchpad bug was filed aga…

Hi Dan, Nice test. The output is (Firefox 9.0.1): "" Date is Fri Jul 02 2010 00:00:00 GMT-0700 (PDT) toLocaleString: Fri 02 Jul 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT toLocaleDateString: 10-07-2010 "" Interestingly in Chromium (16.0.912.75 (Developer Build 116452…

Just installed the latest XPI and repeated the previous procedure. Same results. Debug ID D1087060500 Seth

I installed the 3.0 branch XPI in a fresh firefox profile. I changed the Accessed date for the default item "Zotero Quick Start Guide." I used the data 2 July 2010. Date show when inactive: "10-07-2010". When active: "2010-07-02". Debug ID D2…

Yup, same behaviour in Firefox 9.0.1 with Zotero 3.0b3

Another note, it no longer responds to clicking on links at all. For items with links to a page attached, double clicking on the link gives no response at all.
-
Unfortunately this work around does not work. It thinks that *all* external links are "files". I select a pdf and it says to select an application, and I navigate to okular. The remember checkbox says "Remember my choice for file links." If I se…

When I reactivate the field it says "2010-07-02", which is correct.
-
In this case I entered "2 July 2010" and the resulting field said "10-07-2010" Debug ID D1618346058.

Thanks for the upgrade tip. Quite the list of improvements and fixes at 3.0b3. None the less, the problem persists. Cheers, Seth

@amphioxus: Ouch! That was harsh. We are talking about indexing an index, as appended to the back of a textbook, generally created by editors and others that are informed about the book's purpose and content. You are thinking of indexing an index,…
-
Hi Adam, This is possibly true, but in my experience documents of such long length are more often terminated with an index than a bibliography.

I came across a similar problem today in my lab. We have a group that I and all of my colleagues are members of, one of my colleagues was having problems syncing the group and it turned out that her personal library had exceeded its 100 MB limit. …

Windows line endings: http://ubuntuone.com/p/uBA/ Unix line endings: http://ubuntuone.com/p/uB9/

Hi Dan I thought about the new line markings too and used gedit to save a copy of the file with Windows new lines and a copy with Unix line endings. Both had the same behaviour. I did not physically check that the line endings were properly Win/Un…

Okay, I think I finally have it. 1) remove the extension from firefox 2) delete ~/.openoffice.org 3) reinstall the extension from firefox This seems to have it working again. (edit, corrected the path name)

Interesting. From this document (www.crossref.org/02publishers/doi-guidelines.pdf) it appears that the DOI prefix has no punctuation, so maybe all alpha/symbol characters (except ".") should be stripped ahead of the "/". Thanks for the quick respo…

By the way, if I copy the doi and paste it into the "Add Item by Identifier" dialogue, it works without a problem.

I couldn't recreate this in a new document. I guess that means no bug report. Is there a way to wipe all zotero related data out of an odt file? I went and deleted the visible citations, but it would be nice to be able to isolate any left over li…

Just checked rc3 and it works. Thanks!

Hi I'm using 2.1rc2 on Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit, FF 3.6.15 and the timeline for group libraries is still not functioning. When I select Create Timeline, the timeline window opens, but nothing is mapped in it. Cheers

Maybe it could be a toggle next to the advanced search icon. It seems to fit the current layout of having all the creation methods, a separator, then the search (+ viewing) methods that has already been established. As a user, the first place I lo…

+1 for this as an accessible option!

Would it be possible to have a "server status" icon on the home page? My university affiliation has an online database that has this kind of functionality: it simply says "busy" or "idle" or something in between based on current traffic. It wo…

I can confirm this. I downloaded the official packages, unzipped them in my Home dir and did the following: $ cd /home/seth/ $ sudo apt-get remove openoffice.org-* $ cd OOO320_m18_native_packed-1_en-US.9502/DEBS $ sudo dpkg -i *.deb …

My colleagues and I use the database internally as our company library. In this case, the person I'm working with in not in the company. I would like to be able to send him a document and have him be able to add refs from our company library, so th…

Hi zotnomad, I just wanted to make sure that this isn't due to the pdfinfo and pdftotext. These are not actually plugins in the way that Firefox normally handles them - they are installed by Zotero and live in the Zotero directory in your Firefox…
