You must install the Firefox plugin at the moment.

I've updated csl 0.8 French locales. http://bitbucket.org/gracile/csl-locales-fr-fr/src

"And others": actually "et autres" is never used. Wouldn't it be better to substitute "et alii" (the long form, vs "et al.")I missed that. I put "et coll." which is sometimes used... A csl long-form of "et al." would be better for "et alii", I think…

That still does not work for me...

@Gracile: You can get "J. L." by setting initialize-with=". Thanks. Frank: But while we're here, could you check that you get the results you expect for the hyphenated case, when initialize-with is set to that value?MHSmith: And J.-L. is correct (J-…

I disagree with Marc Smith. Joking aside, your proposals are right and should be implemented to zotero. @MHSmith: Actually, translations have been made through babelzilla translation system. I had revised a few translations in the legal field but t…

@Frank: BTW, I tried zotero 2.1b2 yesterday and found a minor issue. Jean L. Coutildo is different from Jean-Luc Coutildo =>the former should be displayed as "Coutildo, J. L." and the latter as "Coutildo, J-L.". Csl 1.0 is a big step as it adds h…

We could indeed address identical values for editor & editorial-director in the same way, if a special label is needed for that case (J Jones, ed. & ed. dir. ?). Would only require a minor addition to CSL. Just let us know if it's required. …

Would love Z for Opera (I know, it will never happen). http://www.zotero.org/blog/zoteros-next-big-step/

It can be committed to the repo. (That's not useful to shorten the translation as "journal abbreviation", even in French, is longer). Thanks!
-
I switch the translation of "Issue" to "Numéro (périodique)". [Périodique means periodical]. Advantages: magazine and journal articles are periodicals (newspaper too but has no "issue" field ATM) Drawbacks: That's a long expression (loss of space i…

Ah.. I got it! Languages: "Issue" in English is "Numéro" in French. And "Numéro" in French is both "Issue" and "Number" Zotero: "Issue" and "Number" are both advanced search criteria in the neglish version. But Issue has no fallbacks whereas "Numb…
-
I tried to remove diacritics (docket number is "numéro de requête") without success. What has to be noted is that advanced search uses fallbacks but these fallbacks are different depending on locales.

In Firefox adress bar, type: "about:config". Then search for "general.useragent.locale" and change the value to "en-US". Or install this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/1333/

Prefs is broken in localized verions of z2.1b2. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/15107/choosing-preferences-in-21b2-gives-strange-error/#Item_4

Thanks for your reply! Yes, they are (I checked zotero.properties). I've tried to find the file which defines the list of searchable fields... advancedsearch.xul or .js?
-
Directly-related issue: You can't search for "Docket number" with French version of zotero. However, if I switch to English version, a mouse over "Number" shows it includes "docket number". This is also true for "Bill number", "Public law number", "…

Ok. I agree that some translators could be (slightly) improved (e.g.: sudoc). However, what is "of no use for citations" can be different according to styles + zotero is much more than a citation tool...
-
@MHSmith: I do not understand the problem with your example. "9" is the series number, not the nb of vols. Broadly speaking, I have often the need to clean up a bit metadata... I think you can't avoid it for some catalogues.
-
I don't know how that is implemented but I think that it will be possible to have both an editor and a editorial-director. The question is rather: if the editor and the editorial-director are the same person, how would csl display that: "John Doe (d…
-
It has not been implemented in zotero for now. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/8565/other-author-types/#Item_13
-
I was thinking about translators which save nb-of-vols data whatever its content... (and I agree that that is not valuable information but it's a personal opinion).
-
This is the case for me too. Win 7; FF. 3.6.12; Z.2.1b2
-
As far as I know, that is not possible. With csl, you can test the existence but not the content of a variable. Edit: The solution would be either: 1) to update catalogues translator (but I don't think that is desirable) ; 2) batch editing which is…

[edit: irrelevant comment. I missed the point here.] here I don't follow. Which "Volume" box? I'd just use the "volume" field in Zotero and then the "page" field in the plugin. I think MHSmith is talking about the fact that there is no number-of-pag…
-
@MHSMith: Indeed, I made a test this morning and got the same problem. At first, I thought it was my style which was not completely adapted to csl 1.0. Maybe Rintze or Frank could help us on that...

No, pluralization of "issue" does not work.
-
I'm not sure if citeproc-js can handle it, but did you try escaping the superscript HTML tags? That's working! Thank you. [In a next release, that would be great to implement pluralization of "issue", e.g.: no</s…
