Of course you can do that. But your change would have to be reapplied each time you upgrade Zotero... Why do you absolutely want to change that? This is almost purely aesthetic.

I can understand but Zotero is mainly a reference management software. Thus, as ajlyon has explained in this thread: it is important to remember that item types in Zotero are best understood as a set of fields and a set of ways they tend to be style…

You've to replace "doi" by "DOI" to fix it. Anyway, I was able to install it in my zotero.
