I want to copy whatever files necessary from one laptop to another both with Windows 10 to get my library off of the laptop that has it; however, one is a built-in Windows 10 system, the other system I had to install it as a Windows 10 system, if it…

Zotero in my browser ended up in reverse alphabetical order, while this is not a bother, I was wondering is there any way to reverse it where "A" shows up at the top of the window and Z entries wind up at the bottom?

Tell me Dan, if I have Zotero already installed on the Windows 10 laptop, can I install the portable application over it? And, how does the portable pick up that you have a library already? Percetta

So no reason to use the Chrome Browser unless I was on an Android system, and wanted to access the bibliography from Word only. I would not get any kind of link to websites like I have in Firefox. Right or Wrong? Percetta

Thank you adamsmith, I have Zotero in 2016 Word. What a trip!

In that folder I have 2 Microsoft Word filetypes named Zotero. One if for the Word 97-2003 template and the other is for Word Macro-Enabled Template.

OK. Under my profile default, I do have an "extensions" file. When I double click on it. The following is located within it: a folder named: zoterowinwordintegration@zotero.org 3 files named: zoompage@dw-dev.xpi zotero@chnm.g…

adamsmith, When I use the path instructions you gave I do not find that file on my computer.
-
bwiernik, How did you get Zotero to work with Word since Zotero does not display on the tabs when initially installed?
-
I have not installed the new version of Firefox 64-bit. If you say it works, then I will try your suggestion and then your link.
-
The file "Key 3" is from the Firefox profile folder in the "extensions" file in Windows 10. You saw the version of Firefox I am running which says that my profile on Samsung recognizes Zotero-Firefox extension in the browser. From the browser I have…

You are correct on the versions. Now getting back to the "extensions file" located found under the link that you provided found on my computer. The contents from that file reads as follows: [ExtensionDirs] Extension0=C:\Users\Percetta\AppData…

No Adam the version you quoted is not what I show for Zotero-Firefox which is 4.0.28.9. For Word I installed whatever the version is that you have on this site currently. There is no Word site tab for Zotero currently on the 2016 software. Did I exp…

Zotero version 4.0.28.9. And I do not have a Zotero tab on Word 2016. It is not like the Word 2013 where Zotero is added and also on my Word 2010. This time when I downloaded it for my Word 2016 on the Samsung laptop. It did not install. I am using …

I have been fiddling with this program for awhile now wondering why zotero does not work on my Word 2016 program. I cannot find it anywhere since the addons for 2016 are included under the Insert tab in Word. I have a Windows 10 system. Is ther…

I am sorry but I do know about the Word plugins. What I am asking is whether the current plugin will work for Word 2016. If not should I download Word 2013 that I know the current plugin works?

Thanks! So far what I did was to take and copy the zotero.sqilte (sp?) and the storage files to the new computer. It appears that I have captured my library. Is there anything I am missing?
-
Let me explain the above again with my apologies. I have copied my entire Firefox profile from the old laptop via a flash drive, so that all of my old Firefox profile is on that flash drive. How do I get my library and/or entire Firefox profile copi…

I have copied my entire Firefox profile on a flash drive. Please tell me how I can copy this profile from drive D (flash drive) to drive C (computer drive) so that I can see the profile I had on the old machine included in with the default profile i…

Ok, then if I download Firefox or Chrome for the program and its extensions into 2013 Word, your kb link for the instructions is all that I will need? Percetta

I think Firefox did; however, I just did update. Thank You!

Got it, after checking the box for local objects.

I did find the files that you were speaking of. However, since I last spoke to you I got the syncing process to work. The problem is I get a "Conflict Resolution Error Message" for a remote object. I have three different choices to make governed by …

I am sorry it is not working. First I did find the files on the desktop under the Old Firefox data folder. Past that point I am clueless. Second, Step 2 is confusing. If this Zotero directory file is to be left open when I close Firefox then that is…

Thank you. I have installed Zotero 4.0 for Firefox and 3.1.20 for Word and everything seems fine. From now on I will check your documentation before raising a question.

First of all, let me address both your response Dan and then your comment adam. Dan: I appreciate the reset link even though I ended up not having to use it. It appears what I had to change was my password in preferences where syncing is locate…

Well, thank you again; and I am glad you are there.

Adam, see my one question above. And just so you know, YOU ROCK!! Thanks for the instructional help.

Adam, I know you thought the other day that I did not get where you were going with your instructions. And I didn't at first because I have never been in some of the areas where I have had to go to fix software. For example, I forgot that I could se…
