I would recommend talking to your library's IT department to see if they can remove arXiv from the proxy list. It looks like the proxy is responding incorrectly when Zotero requests data from export.arxiv.org.

@zaisai: The original issue reported in this thread was fixed before the official release of Zotero 7. This looks to be different. What type of annotation are you trying to link to? Highlight, underline, note? What text editor are you using? What step…

Exactly what pointing device are you using? If it's a trackpad or Magic Mouse, are you tapping (no haptic feedback) or clicking (haptic feedback)? If you Control-left-click on the items, does the same thing happen? Thanks, and sorry for the inconve…

Save a copy of your document, open the copy, unlink citations. You won't be able to update your citations after unlinking them, so make sure you don't unlink on the original document.
-
Have you tried opening the documents in separate windows and tiling them? As long as you're on a recent version of Windows or macOS 15, you should be able to select the PDFs/EPUBs in Zotero, right-click -> Open PDFs in New Window, then drag the w…

@sprocker: Note that you can use View -> Scrolled when viewing an EPUB to make it behave like a webpage (instead of a paginated book).
-
I can't reproduce any issue with saving while logged out, but it looks like the error was just a 403 ("Forbidden") response from their server. Could be that something about your network or browser looked suspicious.

Please provide example URLs where saving fails.

Yes, this is still planned.

Could it be updated to automatically offer to import annotations if a valid metadata folder (same name as the file) is found? It should already be doing that. You'll need to be using linked files. We'll look into supporting auto-import from Calibre …

@rafisics, @adamsmith: Fixed. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can update manually by clicking Update Translators in the Advanced pane of the Zotero Connector preferences.
-
@adamsmith: Thanks, good catch. Off today but I’ll push a fix tomorrow.
-
@vojtech.kase: Sorry, I wasn’t aware that there was an earlier metadata format. Please send a metadata.epub.lua file created with an older version of KOReader to support@zotero.org and include a link to this thread.

Thanks! Fixed. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can update manually by clicking Update Translators in the Advanced pane of the Zotero Connector preferences.

We don’t yet support arXiv’s experimental HTML view, but we will soon. For now, save from the abstract page.
-
Bizarrely, that workaround is no longer working for me, so your mileage may vary.
-
That's interesting. May relate to the fix for this bug in the citation processor that Zotero uses. You can work around it by using \' instead of ’: \'elep instead of ’elep. Produces the exact same quote character in the output, but without breaking…

@zhhfish: Could you try https://rss.cnki.net/knavi/rss/TJJC?pcode=CJFD,CCJD instead? navi.cnki.net appears to be serving broken feeds at the moment.

Preferences -> Advanced -> Config Editor (at the very bottom). Paste in widget.gtk.overlay-scrollbars.enabled and set that preference to false. That warning isn't relevant.

There isn't currently anything built into Zotero that would let you run a batch cleanup job like that. Someone with JavaScript knowledge could probably customize the example batch editing script to do what you're looking for. In general, we try to …

@_tesfa: Fixed, thanks.

@levi.smith: If the attachment's title is the same as its filename, Rename File from Parent Metadata will update the title so it continues to match the filename. I wouldn't recommend running that on secondary attachments like supplemental materials.…

@mrli6666: Right-click the items -> Find Full Text.

This is very cool! Note that Zotero includes a local implementation of the web API, and we recommend using that over reading the SQLite database directly. You can enable it in Zotero's preferences -> Advanced -> Allow other applications on th…

Sorry, APS redesigned their journal sites and temporarily broke our translator. Fixed now. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can update manually by clicking Update Translators in the Advanced pane of the Zotero Co…

Right-click the "1 Attachment" header -> Show Attachment Preview. If the attachment preview is already supposed to be showing (i.e., that menu option says Hide Attachment Preview), we'd need a Debug ID. Start logging, pin the Attachments section…

Try updating to the latest version of X-Mouse.

Arabic characters switch the text direction to RTL, and numbers and punctuation are neutral, so they appear to the left of the RTL text. Word doesn't give you any good way to fix the ordering in mixed LTR/RTL lines, but you may be able to improve it…

@rnicrosoft: I'd recommend trying again via a VPN or a different network, if you have access to one; it could be that ScienceDirect is rejecting requests from your IP for some reason. I think every report we've gotten of ScienceDirect returning tha…

Bug! Thanks for the report. Fixed now. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can update manually by clicking Update Translators in the Advanced pane of the Zotero Connector preferences.
