If you think something has been missed, you can just post a follow-up on the PR. We try not to use the forums for technical discussions.
-
We can only help with the Zotero Android app. We don't have anything to do with Boox's native Zotero integration, so you'd have to ask them. If you're having trouble with file syncing between official apps and the online library, see Files Not Sync…
-
We'd need to see a Debug ID, not a Report ID. But based on your Report ID, this is likely a problem with your internet connection: [JavaScript Error: "Request timed out after 30000 ms"]"
-
Make sure you're using the latest version of Zotero, 9.0.6. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/zotero_version
-
It’s just a question of whether you’re talking about the Zotero Android app or something else on your device.
-
If you're talking about Boox's native Zotero integration, we don't have anything to do with that, so you'd have to ask them. The presence of a URL or DOI certainly wouldn't affect Zotero's own syncing.
-
Fixed in the latest Zotero beta
-
For problems with a plugin, you'll need to contact the plugin developer.
-
It looks like you an ancient stored-file attachment with an invalid, relative path. We've fixed handling of that for a future release, but I've fixed that item for you now, so syncing should go through.
-
Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through a few minutes of the progress window staying open, using the Help → Debug Output Logging → "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?
-
You can paste the 8-character folder name into the Zotero search bar in All Fields & Tags mode in your library root (or group library roots).
-
The latest version is beta 14.
-
Now available in beta on iOS: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/132897/available-for-beta-testing-read-aloud-on-ios
-
(Be sure to note in your thread title when you're referring to the Android app so the right people see your thread. I've updated the title.) EPUB support is still in beta on Android, so EPUBs will currently open externally in the release version. …

Zotero auto-updates on restart, or you can update manually via Help → Check for Updates. If the updater isn't working for some reason, you can reinstall from the download page, as I say above.
-
Not clear what you mean, but you can always reinstall Zotero from the download page. Your data won't be affected.
-
Can you link to an example PDF?
-
Yes. Retrieve Metadata is a recent addition in the web library and doesn't yet run automatically for Connector saves. As when saving to the app, you should still always save from an article page if possible.
-
Direct PDF saving to zotero.org is fixed in the Connector beta.
-
File → Get Info is in Finder.
-
No, if you got a message about Rosetta, you had/have some older version of Zotero installed on your system, or you had overridden it to run under Rosetta (File → Get Info) at some point. There's no difference between 9.0.4 and 9.0.6 here.
-
Actually, looks like direct PDF saving (not on a webpage) to zotero.org was broken in Firefox. We'll have a fix out shortly.
-
That doesn't show you reloading the page before trying to save.
-
Your network is blocking Zotero requests. You'll need to talk to your IT department. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/zotero_and_firewalls
-
We'd need to see a Debug ID that shows reloading the page and trying to save with all extensions disabled.
-
Zotero has been native on Apple Silicon since Zotero 7 in 2024. Install the latest version of Zotero from the download page. Your data won't be affected.
-
Disable your other extensions. (12 on https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues)
-
If you were getting this error, it was happening to you as well. Something like this would almost always be due to security software or network interception deployed at the institutional level.
-
@lyndajgibson: It's in the Zotero beta, linked above, and is a button in the reader toolbar. If you're not comfortable running beta software, you should wait for Zotero 10.
-
No problem. Glad that's cleared up.
