If this is a shared document, that may just mean what it says. If you're the only person editing it, something may have gone wrong on Google's end, and you can override the lock from that dialog.

No, setting up Zotero on a new computer won't wipe out your existing library. It's just like any other sync system (Dropbox, etc.) — you can obviously start using it on a new computer.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. You changed some Windows compatibility setting for the app itself? I would think uninstalling completely and reinstalling would reset that (your data won't be affected), but if not, I think you can change those…

To be clear, the main thing that does is disable your third-party plugins. The next time you restart Zotero, they’ll be re-enabled. You may need to re-enable them one by one to figure out which is causing the breakage.
