It would have the same items if you imported the same files multiple times, and that would certainly explain why you would have such a huge library. You should sort by Date Added and delete entire sets of duplicates, and then empty the trash.

When did you add the files, and when did they sync? Indexing of synced full-text content isn't performed immediately at sync time — it happens in the background when the computer is idle.

Thanks — I can reproduce that on Windows. That may just be a Word bug, but we'll take a look. It doesn't happen on macOS, for what it's worth.
