We're not talking about standalone reader windows. We're talking about the main window, which has a library tab and any number of reader tabs. You need to switch to the first tab — which shows your library — and narrow or close the left and/or righ…
-
@dhbpac: Again, it's the panes in the library tab that matter here, not the tabs in the reader.
-
No, shouldn't be anything like that. Can we see a Debug ID for an attempt that does nothing?
-
Wait for what reason? There's no intentional batch size limit on our end, but metadata retrieval uses various upstream services, and they might start blocking you temporarily after a large number of requests. So if you just mean that it stops being…

Does it happen with BBT disabled?

We'd need to see screenshots, but I'd guess you actually mean a top-level collection — not your "library folder" — and you're thinking of View → Show Items from Subcollections. To be clear, though, if you're actually transferring your own Zotero da…

Ah, that might be a clue here. Thanks!

What do you mean by "through the browser"? Are you using the web library or the desktop app? You want to be using the latter, and there shouldn't be a limit for dragging files in. (The desktop app will also run PDF metadata retrieval, which the web …

Public Open groups don't allow file sharing.

That sounds like a feature of Better BibTeX. For problems with a plugin, you'll need to contact the plugin developer.
-
Zotero can't read DRM-protected files. It can read PDFs, EPUBs, and webpage snapshots.
-
Start by installing Zotero 7 from the download page. If you're still having trouble, provide a Report ID and explain (and share a screenshot of) exactly what you're doing to trigger that.
-
@wahono_umm: It should be prompting you to restart Zotero, after which it should be fixed. Is it not?
-
You can just hide the plugin with View → Toolbars → Zotero. It shouldn't be reinstalling the plugin on each restart, though. Unless there's an error during the installation or there's a problem saving settings in Zotero, it would just reinstall it …

Can you share a screenshot of what you mean? But it sounds like you're conflating things here. "Keep Sources Sorted" is just an option in both the regular (Quick Format) citation dialog and the classic dialog. When you're not using the classic dial…

You'll need to say what the actual problem is that you're experiencing. See Steps to Reproduce for the kind of description we need.
-
Oh, sorry, the “setting” wasn’t supposed to be in the code block, of course.
-
Again, we'd want to see a Debug ID for that.
-
Just to note, this has since been changed. If you don't choose to create a new collection, it imports into the current collection.
-
That's a bug. The DOI and URL are functionally equivalent, so when there's a DOI and no URL, "View Online" should follow the DOI. Double-clicking does that correctly when there's no attachment, but "View Online" uses the attachment's URL first by mi…

I can reproduce an error if I try this from the reader for a standalone PDF. Is that what you're trying? It's just a bug that that appears as an option — we'll fix that. You can only generate citations and bibliographies for attachments with regular…

As in the desktop app, you select a style in the Quick Copy settings, not the Cite settings, which are just for adding/removing styles.
-
We'd want to see a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for reloading the page and trying to save, but good chance it's just site access limits on Google Scholar.
-
(Please start new threads for new issues — the thread you posted to isn't related. I've moved this to a new thread.) The right sidebar doesn't currently appear in standalone reader windows, only in tabs in the main window. This will be changed in a…

https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data when I try to update the citation info in some old files that I have, it isn't able to find the information from the library files leaving me without the citation info Not sure what you mean by this, though…

A plugin you installed likely changed the ui.popup.disable_autohide setting, which it absolutely shouldn't have done. Find that setting in the Config Editor in the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings and reset it.
-
@kturina: See Files Not Syncing and provide the requested info if you're still having trouble.
-
You're saying if you double-click on an item, it downloads the PDF and opens it, but it's not downloading them all automatically? We'd still want to see a Debug ID for the first sync after Reset File Sync History when that happens.

@jeannechen: It needs to be for a Verify Server attempt.
