If you made the annotations in an external PDF reader rather than the built-in PDF reader, you currently need to open the PDF in the built-in reader for Zotero to process the file and read the annotations. "Add Note from Annotations" would also caus…

I don't know what you're referring to — "Smart Duplicates" and "Smart merge" aren't terms in Zotero. If this is about a plugin, you'll need to ask the plugin developer for help.
-
No, those are different UI elements, and they're both perfectly standard. The widgets in the collections pane are twisties (or disclosure triangles, or various other terms). They're used in most hierarchical trees (e.g., Finder, or our collections/…

@John_muccigrosso: No, "Add Note from Annotations" does exactly what it says — it creates a note with annotations. The Annotations section in the item pane is always shown for attachments when there are annotations.

Just select them and press Delete on the keyboard, or right-click → Move Item to Trash.

Please report to the BBT developer on GitHub. He's very responsive.

Working here. [JavaScript Error: "HTTP request to https://export.arxiv.org/oai2?verb=GetRecord&metadataPrefix=oai_dc&identifier=oai:arXiv.org:1201.5562 has timed out after 15000ms"] If it's still not working, you may be temporarily blocked o…

Sobald ich starte den Titel einer Publikation einzugeben, verschwindet der "Citation Dialog" langsam von unten nach oben, bis ich ihn nicht mehr sehen kann. Start by updating to Zotero 7.0.4, and let us know if you're still seeing this.
-
I'm not seeing that. Can you reproduce this in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins?
-
I (got) updated to Zotero 7 I'm not sure what you mean by this. Zotero 7 is still a manual update. We can't help with plugins — for that you'd have to ask the plugin developer — but what exactly are you trying to do? You've always been able to copy…

The plugin does not work on Linux I'm not sure what you mean by this. The plugin obviously works on Linux in general. Unchecking the toolbar also hides it permanently in general, but if the plugin is getting reinstalled on every Zotero restart, LO …

Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins. If the problem still occurs, we'd want to see a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for an attempt that fails, and you should pos…

We'll fix the annotation color menu. The item context menu is a native menu and behaves the same way as other Mac menus: to navigate to something, you type it. If you want to select "Add Note from Annotations", type "add n". The Zotero 6 behavior w…

That would be a problem with your internet connection.

Or does the synchronization merge both sets of data, preserving the updates made on the new PC? This.

This is planned.

You'd have to check the old computer. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/changes_not_syncing

Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through reproducing this error, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?
-
There's no error in there. Make sure you're submitting the Report ID after triggering the error and before restarting Zotero. What's the actual message that you're receiving?
-
We can only help with the official tarball. Word processor integration in the Zotero 7 Flatpak — which we have nothing to do with — is broken. For the error with the tarball, we'd want a Report ID to start.
-
Make sure you're running Zotero 7, which improves saving from ScienceDirect. We have other improvements coming that should help with this. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/470748/#Comment_470748

5.0.55 The message means exactly what it says. You're running a version of Zotero from August 2018.

Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins. If that fixes it, you'll need to identify the plugin that's causing it and then report the problem to the plugin's developer. If no…

Double-clicking the parent item has always opened the snapshot if one is available. If you want to open the URL, you can do that from the URL or DOI fields in the right-hand pane.

Please post development questions to zotero-dev. We try to keep technical discussions there.

Self-signed certificates aren't supported within the app. You might be able to add the certificate to the OS certificate store.

We're not talking about standalone reader windows. We're talking about the main window, which has a library tab and any number of reader tabs. You need to switch to the first tab — which shows your library — and narrow or close the left and/or righ…

@dhbpac: Again, it's the panes in the library tab that matter here, not the tabs in the reader.
