Did you confirm that Zotero was completely gone from Word before reinstalling? https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#word_could_not_communicate_with_zotero_please_ensure_that_zotero_is_open_and_try_again

What word processor and full version? Can you provide a Report ID from Zotero? I placed the cursor at the end of the reference and press the up arrow but that doe not work either. I'm not sure what you mean by this. Can you say more? starts the bibl…

(Documented here: https://www.zotero.org/support/collections_and_tags#adding_items_to_collections)

Well, that shouldn't cause an error about your database, though. You should check your database integrity from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero settings.
-
That's from some plugin you're using, not from Zotero.
-
Wait, do you mean that you're installing it to a custom location where you also have your Zotero data? That's an extraordinarily bad thing to do and may cause you to lose all your data. Program files shouldn't ever have anything to do with data file…
-
@dennisdd: That's not normal. You should restart it. The installer has no connection to your Zotero data.
-
I can't see the citation keys once I refresh them, for instance I'm not sure what you mean by that, but the API in question is just to allow plugins to create custom field rows in the Info section. That's still coming (pretty soon, now that we've ta…

(Note that you're not using these technical terms correctly, which is why there was some confusion here. It's always better to just explain what you're trying to do in terms you understand. Nothing of ours is "connecting" to anything of Mendeley's, …

Q1. Is there any way (e.g., a command line tool) of creating, deleting or renaming group libraries without using a Zotero account. You can only be in a group if you have a Zotero account, so no. Q2. Is there an obviously better way of managing the l…

The question is about importing a Zotero library into Mendeley, not the other way around.
-
Unlike Mendeley, Zotero is completely open, and they used to do a direct transfer from the local Zotero app, but they switched to an online import a while back, which requires files to be uploaded. Overleaf is a web service, so it of course require…

You need to test in 7.0.9.
-
Because it’s fixed in 7.0.9, which is the current version.
-
Can you provide a screenshot?
-
Can you provide a couple screenshots of what you're trying that show what you're trying to match and what's happening?
-
It just means the next files queued to sync would each fill up the remaining 13 MB, so it can't continue. You would need to delete attachments until all your files would fit within your quota. (Note, though, that you don't need to sync files to use…

database disk image is malformed https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/corrupted_database

@jeapordy: Yes, the problem is that you "have too many good points", not that you have a years-long history of posting aggressive, insulting, disruptive, and/or confused posts to these forums, insisting that nearly every complaint of yours is a glar…

The resource could not be loaded because the App Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection. Your WebDAV server is redirecting an HTTPS request to an HTTP request, which it absolutely shouldn't be doing. The app is protecting …

Tab groups are planned, as well as support for tabs of the library view.
-
We'll be supporting tab groups in the future, but this sounds like something we'd leave to plugins.
-
You'd have to ask your IT department. That just looks like something is deleting the Zotero folder in C:\Program Files (or at least zotero.exe), so all you have left is the shortcut.
-
I'm not sure what you mean by that. The Zotero profile folder contains all Zotero-created settings as well as settings stored by plugins using Zotero's built-in prefs system. If you copy the Profiles folder (from %%APPDATA%% — the %%LOCALAPPDATA% fo…

You can read and annotate PDF files. It just doesn’t support linked files, and it won’t in the future.
-
As I said, you can do whatever you want with your Zotero installation, including using this mechanism. Others who understand the technical details here can also do so. But we're the ones providing the support here, and we're not going to have you sh…

For (1), most likely the citation is just unlinked or orphaned. Click the citation and click Add/Edit Citation. Does the citation appear in the citation dialog, or is the citation dialog empty? If it appears, see Deleted Items (different topic, same…

Can you email the PDF in question to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
That sounds like you transferred the wrong files or transferred them to the wrong location. See Locating Missing Zotero Data for what you're looking for.
-
We'd also want to see a Report ID after reproducing this.
